Crib Notes for the Trial of the Century

Guest Post by Jim Kunstler

“Once someone determined Trump was so bad it was okay to lie about him, it set the precedent that the only thing that mattered was a subject’s politics.”Matt Taibbi

What fascinates us about sex, I suppose, is that most everyone wants it and seeks it, driven by irresistible natural impulses, and yet the act itself is such an affront to civilized decorum that it inspires both comedy and horror, two states of consciousness that are themselves irresistibly compelling. Add lawyers to all that and you find yourself entering the realm of opera bouffe, which is to say, kitsch, human expression reduced to its most self-consciously ridiculous.

HUSH LITTLE PORN STAR, DON’T SAY A WORD …

Guest Post by Ann Coulter

I gather I was supposed to gasp when Michael Cohen said during his testimony before Congress on Wednesday, “The president of the United States thus wrote a personal check for the payment of hush money as part of a criminal scheme to violate campaign finance laws.”

If that’s the best he’s got, Trump should demand we hold the election this coming Tuesday.

Cohen was referring to Trump’s 2017 reimbursement of the $130,000 hush money he paid to porn star Stormy Daniels to stay quiet about her claim that she’d had sex with Trump, aka Cohen’s client — meaning much of Cohen’s testimony is barred by attorney-client privilege. But who cares about this sacred legal privilege? We’re trying to get Trump!

Traveling Transition Road: 123 Revelations from May, 2018

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

For the previously unstated purpose of impugning internet censorship, and the fact online search engines are becoming less of a trustworthy source when attempting to research past articles, a catalog of links was started by this blogger on Mayday 2018; and based upon the belief that transitions are roads to revelations.

Keep in mind the following May denouements occurred in addition to those previously delineated during the first “Seven Days in May”.

The ensuing disclosures occurred between the dates of May 8-31, 2018 and have been organized into categories for the reader’s convenience:

Dunno Why There’s No Sun Up in the Sky

Guest Post by Jim Kunstler

Newsflash: President Donald J. Trump had sex with a whore twelve years ago. Let that sink into your limbic lobes, you poor, opiated, Facebook-addled, morbidly-obese, fly-over nation of lumbering, deplorable, gun-gripping, Jesus-haunted voters. A hoor! Do you hear?

Wait a minute, you say. Stormy Daniels is no such thing, She’s an actress in, and director of, adult films, an auteur, if you like, at least a sex worker, toiling in the rolling mills of eros, sweating and grunting as much as any Mahoning Valley steel worker, or hood ornament buffer on the Tesla assembly line. And anyway, three times over the years she denied having sex with that man, at least once in writing, though last night on CBS’s Sixty Minutes she stated that she actually did have sex with the Golden Golem of Greatness. In which case, she may be some kind of a lyin’ hoor… or savior of a nation yearning to cast off the loathsome rule of this odious president-by-mistake.

Questions of a Stranger in a Brave New World

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left.

– Ecclesiastes 10:2

For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

– 2 Timothy 4:3-4

Today, I read an exercise in surreality entitled:  ”Yes, This Is Going To Be Worse Than Watergate”.  When I first clicked the link, which was posted on Drudge this morning, I thought it was about the forthcoming Inspector General’s report and was hoping it might shed some light on FBI, DoJ, and State Department corruption at the highest levels.  Instead, the article rendered liberal outrage at the possibility of the Evil Trump firing the noble and honorable Robert Mueller.  The author, furthermore, claimed such a travesty would be a larger scandal than Watergate and lamented how not enough Republicans will join the high-minded, justice-seeking Democrats to save America.

Unbelievable.
