Traveling Transition Road: 123 Revelations from May, 2018

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

For the previously unstated purpose of impugning internet censorship, and the fact online search engines are becoming less of a trustworthy source when attempting to research past articles, a catalog of links was started by this blogger on Mayday 2018; and based upon the belief that transitions are roads to revelations.

Keep in mind the following May denouements occurred in addition to those previously delineated during the first “Seven Days in May”.

The ensuing disclosures occurred between the dates of May 8-31, 2018 and have been organized into categories for the reader’s convenience:

Life Imitates Art: Any Other Examples?

The story of the little boy being felt up by the TSA pervert made headlines over the last few days, including Zero Hedge, and then the trailer was introduced (all throughout the MSM) for the movie “It”, based on Stephen King’s novel of the same name.

I immediately noticed a similarity between the TSA pederast and Pennywise the Clown as they both terrorize the children.

On TBP in the past, George Soros has been compared to a Sith Lord from Star Wars, and most, recently, Admin has compared President Trump to the “Mule” from Isaac Asimov’s Foundation Trilogy.

Can you think of any other apt comparisons today of life imitating art, or vice-versa?

Disabled woman beaten bloody by TSA agents after becoming confused and afraid at security checkpoint

A disabled woman was beaten bloody by federal agents during an airport security screening while on her way to undergo treatment for a brain tumor.

Hannah Cohen set off the metal detector at a security checkpoint at the Memphis International Airport, and she was led away for additional screening, reported WREG-TV.

“They wanted to do further scanning, (but) she was reluctant — she didn’t understand what they were about to do,” said her mother, Shirley Cohen.

Cohen said she tried to tell agents with the Transportation Security Administration that her 19-year-old daughter is partially deaf, blind in one eye, paralyzed and easily confused — but she said police kept her away from the security agents.

The confused and terrified young woman tried to run away, her mother said, and agents violently took her to the ground.

“She’s trying to get away from them, but in the next instant, one of them had her down on the ground and hit her head on the floor,” Cohen said. “There was blood everywhere.”

The young woman, who was returning home after finishing treatment for the brain tumor at St. Jude Hospital, was arrested and booked into jail.

Authorities eventually threw out the charges against Hannah Cohen, but her family has filed a lawsuit against Memphis police, airport police and the TSA.

Neither police department commented on the suit, but a spokesperson for the TSA said passengers should notify agents ahead of time if they have special needs.

“Passengers can call ahead of time to learn more about the screening process for their particular needs or medical situation,” said TSA spokesperson Sari Koshetz.

Government Can’t Help; It Can Only Hurt

undefined

Three recent stories regarding three government agencies — the IRS, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) — show why we should oppose big government for practical, as well as philosophical, reasons.

In recent months, many Americans have missed their flights because of longer-than-usual TSA security lines. In typical DC fashion, the TSA claims the delays are because of budget cuts, even though Congress regularly increases the TSA’s funding!

The TSA is also blaming the delays on the fact that few Americans have signed up for its “PreCheck” program. Under PreCheck, the TSA considers excusing some Americans from some of the screening process. Those who wish to be considered must first submit personal information to the TSA and pay a fee. Only a bureaucrat would think Americans would be eager to give the TSA more information and money on the chance that they may be approved for PreCheck.

The TSA is much better at harassing airline passengers than at providing security. TSA agents regularly fail to catch weapons hidden by federal agents testing the screening process. Sadly, Congress will likely reward the TSA’s failures with continued funding increases. Rewarding the TSA’s incompetence shouldn’t surprise us since the TSA owes its existence to the failure of government to protect airline passengers on 9/11.

Viral Video Shows Nightmare TSA Line Stretching “For Miles”

Tyler Durden's picture

After questioning whether a self-imposed process to make airline check-ins more rigorous, knowingly increasing wait times, was a Federally-funded scheme to force travelers to enroll in pre-check programs, thus manipulating people into cooperating with authoritarian strategies; it seemed rather appropriate that the following video, which went viral, shows what is simply a stunningly long TSA line wait at Midway Airport.

As WaPo reports, when Sean Hoffman arrived at Midway Airport last week for his flight home to Oregon, he said he was taken aback by the comically long line to get through security.

“I got to the end, (and) I was like, holy (expletive), people would probably like to see this,” Hoffman recalled in an interview.

And so he did…

Caught on Tape – TSA Gropes 10 Year Old Girl for Two Minutes Due to Capri Sun in Baggage

Just when you thought the TSA couldn’t possibly get any worse…

From the San Diego Tribune:

A Capri Sun juice pouch mistakenly left in a 10-year-old San Diego girl’s carry-on handbag led a TSA agent to subject the girl to almost two minutes of frisking and extra screening that lasted about an hour, her father said.

Liquids exceeding 3 ounces are not allowed in carry-on bags, for fear they might contain explosives, but the girl’s father said the resulting search was an over-reaction and an inappropriate intrusion.

Kevin Payne of Pacific Beach and his daughter, Vendela, were passing through the Raleigh-Durham International Airport on Dec. 30, 2015, headed home to San Diego, when U.S. Transportation Security Administration agents discovered the liquid.

Authorities followed up with a swab of the bag and a false-positive test for explosives, then a nearly 2-minute-long full-body pat-down in which a female TSA agent touched the girl’s buttocks and groin repeatedly.

Payne said TSA agents told him he wasn’t allowed to film, but he asserted his rights and was able to capture the incident on video, which he has since posted on YouTube and Nextdoor.

The Episcopalian’s Guide to Airport Security

No-One Told Us

It is warm in Paris. But rainy and dark. We have come into the Café Poussin for coffee…and for a little morning cheer. We watch the people come and go… we listen to the friendly banter with the bartender… we read the news.

On Thursday, the U.S. stock market wiped out Wednesday’s gains. The Dow dropped 253 points – or about 1.5% [ed. note: and on Friday, it dropped another 367 points, or 2.10%]. Thinking it over, investors must have decided that Janet Yellen’s rate hike was not such good news after all.

“New era starts as reverse repurchase drains $105 billion from system,” declares the Financial Times. In a reverse repurchase – or “reverse repo” – agreement the Fed borrows reserve funds overnight from banks in exchange for Treasurys it holds on its balance sheet. The rate it pays for these loans helps set a “floor” under short-term interest rates.

Hmmm… let’s see if we can figure this out. Money comes into the system… prices rise. Money goes out of the system… prices…

OMG! Why didn’t anyone tell us?!

TSA Agent Arrested for Sexually Molesting South Korean Woman at NYC’s LaGuardia Airport

Guest Post by Michael Krieger

Last week, we learned how the naked body scanners, which the TSA spent $160 million in taxpayer money on, failed to find explosives or weapons in 96% of covert test cases. To make matters worse, government bureaucrats not only want to keep these useless devices in operation, they want passengers to also go through a metal detector after the naked body scan. Here’s an excerpt from the post, Big Brother Idiocy – TSA Spent $160 Million on Naked Body Scanners that Fail 96% of the Time:

The $160 million bill includes $120 million for the body scanners now in place in hundreds of airports nationwide, according to newly disclosed figures obtained by POLITICO. The rest of the money went to the agency’s “naked” X-ray scanners, which it pulled from airports two years ago amid worries about health risks and the devices’ detailed images of travelers’ bodies.

A recent security audit found that TSA had failed to find fake explosives and weapons in 96 percent of covert tests. And members of Congress familiar with the classified details say the body scanners are to blame for much of the problem.

Johnson said that while bomb detection is obviously a complex undertaking, “these things weren’t even catching metal.”

“If you really want to keep using those, and I’m not saying we shouldn’t, at a minimum we should put a metal detector on the other side,” the Wisconsin Republican said in an interview. “Why not go through two? You’ve just gotta use common sense.”

Just a few days later, we learn how a TSA employee allegedly lured a 22-year-old female South Korean passenger into a LaGuardia restroom where he proceeded to sexually molest her under the name of “national security.” From ABC News:
