Persuasion is to Unity What Coercion is to Conformity

Where there is no law there is no freedom.

Morality is doing what is right regardless of what you are told. Obedience is doing what is told regardless of what is right.

It would be easy to speculate ad nauseam regarding the 2022 U.S. Midterms, but that is not the main intention of this post. Therefore, my comments regarding the national elections will be brief:  In short, it seems there were three general outcomes possible: 1.) Democrats holding both Houses of Congress 2.) GOP winning House or Senate but not both 3.) GOP winning both House and Senate.

In the Old Normal, given current economic shortages and inflation, the extremism of woke politics, increasing urban crime, the politicization of COVID, and the weaponization of federal agencies, a sizable red wave would have been assured.  But we no longer live in the Old Normal and we haven’t for some time. As the aftermath of the 2020 Presidential Election demonstrated, America has crossed the Rubicon. Speculation is moot. At this late date in history, the beast system will never cede power via honest elections.

Failures of Justice and Mercy

It is often said that those going to court to sue want justice, and those defending themselves want mercy. There is ample recent evidence that both can be failures, according to the results observed. I will elaborate on several notable cases, old and new.

Fixing The Problem

Guest Post by Eric Peters

And yes, it is a problem.reforming cops lead

Whether you are a “law and order” type or otherwise. In fact, especially if you are a “law and order” type. Because, simply put, cops are not subject to the same law and order as the rest of us – and that is a problem.

For them as much as us.

For them, because it has created an arrogance – a recklessness – that encourages the extra-legal excesses that we’re seeing on video almost every day (these videos probably capturing only a small slice of what actually goes on every day).

For us, because we are increasingly threatened by these excesses.

It is worrisome and very dangerous – for everyone.

CORRUPTION

Guest Post by James the Wanderer

In 1981 I was a fresh young fellow, just out of college, and needed a job. I joined the Port Arthur Research Laboratories of Texaco Inc. in Port Arthur, TX, which was the most lucrative offer I had gotten out of college. It was one of a couple of offers I had received at the time; another was a company that made fibers for carpets and other things, Millikan. There was something of a stigma on them at the time, for periodically the owner would fire an entire corps of engineers if something went wrong, and was known for it; other companies would eagerly hire the fallen, since it was known that Millikan did this, despite having only hired the best he could find. But I was not interested in this, so I went for stability, which was TXC (their stock exchange symbol back then, hereafter a handy shortcut for the name); they were known for their veteran employees, and rarely fired anyone except for theft, incompetence or similar good reasons. I was neither a thief nor incompetent, so I took their offer.

Here I must apologize; despite the passage of over a quarter-century, I have not been able to establish that ALL the people I worked with are dead, retired or otherwise employed. And TXC had people of honor, character and discipline, which I have come to value wherever I find them; so EVERY name here is a pseudonym, to protect those who might still be serving in some capacity for their successor company, which turned out to be mainly Chevron, or somewhere else. I have no interest in gossip, nor maligning by association those who honorably do their jobs in this world. The worst perpetrators in these stories are dead, so it serves no purpose to name them either.

This article is to demonstrate by example the challenge of working honorably for an organization that is corrupt at the top. And how, despite the existence of honorable men and women (such as those who worked for TXC all over the world), a corrupt organization is doomed eventually.
I didn’t work at PARL for long; about eighteen months. The Oil, Chemical and Atomic Workers were restless; there was strike fever in the air at the oil refinery next door, but the Research lab staff didn’t think there would be one; after all, they had “gone out” a few years earlier, and several members of the union had lost cars, boats, even homes when they had insufficient funds coming in to keep up their payments; they were too hurt from the last time to go out again so soon, so if there was a strike it would be short, a kind of face-saving gesture.

Pay No Attention To That Man Behind The Curtain

Guest Post by Eric Peters

Most of us have at one time or another received what amounts to a ransom note demanding money, which we must “stand and deliver” (under duress) else various nasty things will happen to us. These ransom notes are called traffic tickets – and we’ve been habituated to accept them as legitimate. Or at least to not think about it too much.oz lead

Let’s think about it.

First, who is the aggrieved party? It is (in my state) the “Commonwealth of Virginia.” Says so, right there on the paper. If I go to court to contest the charge, a commonwealth’s attorney will represent the “interests” of the Commonwealth of Virginia. That is, of the government.

Well, ok – but who, specifically, is the government?

The answer is, no one.

Can’t be.

There is no such thing as the Commonwealth of Virginia. Nor the Federal Government – or any other government. They are abstractions without substance.

Can you subpoena the Commonwealth of Virginia? Cross examine him? Can you do violence to the Commonwealth of Virginia? Harm him?

How so?

Prove it!

Where is the body? Show me the wounds!

None such exist – because “he” does not exist.

The government is nothing more than what L. Frank Baum described in The Wizard of Oz. The “great and powerful” wizard has no existence beyond our own fears and imaginings. He is a prop, a front – a fiction.

THE OBAMACARE SUCCESS STORY CONTINUES

If it’s the law, how can Obama keep changing, delaying, modifying, and ignoring it?

If Obamacare is so great why don’t the Democrats embrace it and run their November campaigns around this superlative feather in all their caps?

Are you still waiting for your $2,500 annual savings?

White House ‘Quietly’ Exempts 4.5 Million People In 5 “Territories” From Obamacare

Tyler Durden's picture

As WSJ reports, last week’s geopolitical chaos and distraction was ideal for a news dump, and the White House didn’t disappoint: On no legal basis, all 4.5 million residents of the five U.S. territories were quietly released from ObamaCare. It seems the costs of healthcare soared in these five territories due to uneconomic mandates – which woul dhave been a disaster PR-wise for the administration and so, under cover of catastrophe, WSJ reports all of a sudden last week HHS discovered new powers after “a careful review of this situation and the relevant statutory language,” that enabled them to ‘selectively exempt’ American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, Northern Mariana Islands, and Virgin Islands from Obamacare. And all while vacationing…

As WSJ reports,

The original House and Senate bills that became the Affordable Care Act included funding for insurance exchanges in these territories, as President Obama promised when as a Senator he campaigned in Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and other 2008 Democratic primaries. But the $14.5 billion in subsidies for the territories were dumped in 2010 as ballast when Democrats needed to claim the law reduced the deficit.

As a consolation, Democrats opened several public-health programs to the territories and bestowed most of ObamaCare’s insurance regulations, which liberals euphemize as “consumer protections,” such as requiring insurers to accept all comers and charge the same premiums regardless of patient health.

However, costs soared as no insurer would touch them…

These uneconomic mandates promptly caused insurance rates to soar and many insurers to flee the territorial markets. You can’t buy any policy at any price in the Mariana Islands. So the territories have spent the last two years beseeching HHS for a regulatory exemption.

So time to change the rules… from this…

As recently as last year, HHS instructed the territories that they “have enjoyed the benefits of the applicable consumer protections” and HHS “has no legal authority to exclude the territories” from ObamaCare.

To this…

Laws are made by Congress, but all of a sudden last week HHS discovered new powers after “a careful review of this situation and the relevant statutory language.”

And thus 4.5 million people in the following 5 territories are now free of the tyrannical demands of Obamacare…

American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, Northern Mariana Islands, and Virgin Islands.

*  *  *

Which leaves only one question… where does everybody else apply for their ‘uneconomic’ exemption?

“I AM NOT A CROOK” – “THIS IS NOT A COUP” – THE RULE OF LAW NO LONGER EXISTS IN THE UNITED STATES

I notice that some of the conservative websites I follow are not outraged in the least by the coup in Egypt. This is one of those situations that separates the phony Constitutionalists from the people who believe in the Constitution. The neo-cons hate Muslims in general and religious Muslims in particular. They hate Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood. I’m sure he’s an asshole and his followers are dangerous fanatics. I’m also sure the Egyptian generals that backed Mubarek and his dictatorship for decades are also evil fuckers. The entire Middle East is a religious clusterfuck of dangerous fanatics who blow each other up. The Egyptian people elected Morsi through the democratic process. Many Egyptians hate his guts and hate his policies. The American people elected Obama. Many Americans hate his guts and hate his policies. The Egyptian military overthrew Morsi last week and placed him under arrest. They are now killing his supporters as they riot. Is it OK for our military to overthrow Obama because his popularity rating is now only 40%?

For the slow witted (Congressmen, MSM pundits) here is the definition of a coup:

The sudden deposition of a government, usually by a small group of the existing state establishment—typically the military—to depose the extant government and replace it with another body, civil or military.

There is absolutely no doubt that a democratically elected leader of Egypt was overthrown and deposed. Our LAW states unequivically that foreign aid of $1.5 billion MUST be stopped immediately. Obama, his minions, Congress and the mainstream media tell me that laws must be followed when it comes to my every day existence. But the slimy snakes in Washington DC from both parties have decided they can ignore laws when they interfere with their agendas. The $1.5 billion will continue to flow to Egypt because our owners think it’s good for business. Most of this money benefits our Arms Peddlers in the military industrial complex. The lesson from this episode and dozens of other episodes over the last few years proves that the rule of law is meaningless in this country. Numerous laws will be enforced on the peasants but will be ignored and flaunted when they apply to the lords of the manor. Laws are designed to control you and allow the oligarchs to pillage without consequence.

In case you hadn’t noticed:

  • Wall Street bankers engineered the largest control fraud in world history and not one banker has gone to jail. Over 1,000 bankers went to jail during the S&L Crisis of the early 1990’s.
  • Mortgage brokers and the Wall Street banks colluded to create fraudulent mortgages, package them as MBS, paid off rating agencies to get a AAA rating, sold them to clients, shorted them knowing they would explode, and destroyed the lives of millions in the process. No one was prosecuted or went to jail.
  • Wall Street bankers have commited foreclosure fraud on a grand scale (robo-signing) and not one banker has gone to jail.
  • Ben Bernanke and Hank Paulson lied to Congress and the American people about the true implications of the September 2008 meltdown and neither has been held accountable.
  • Eric Holder gave assault weapons to Mexican drug lords, which were used to kill U.S. law enforcement officers, and no one has gone to jail.
  • The government is illegally collecting meta-data from all Americans in violation of the 4th Amendment. No one will be prosecuted.
  • James Clapper lied to Congress about spying on the American people. There is no effort to prosecute him for this crime.
  • The Obama administration has used the IRS to punish political opponents. No one will go to jail.
  • Jon Corzine stole $1.2 billion directly from the accounts of his clients. He is not going to be prosecuted.
  • Wall Street banks are caught using inside information on a daily basis to generate billions of illegal profits. The government fines them a few million. No one goes to jail.

Tacitus was right:

“The more corrupt the state, the more numerous the laws.”

Our state is corrupt to its core. A true patriot, Edward Snowden, reveals the illegal traitorous actions of the government (Obama, Congress, NSA) and he is vilified by the oligarchs and their MSM mouthpieces. Edward Snowden should be hailed as a hero, but those in power will use their interpretation of the LAW to throw him in prison for life.

The message is obvious to anyone who chooses to think. THEY will use the law to crush you and keep you controlled, but the LAW does not apply to them. THEY are above the law. You are not free. You are a slave. The democratic process does not exist in this country. The system will never be changed from within. Their power, wealth and control is immense. The future will resemble Orwell’s vision unless enough people like Edward Snowden make a stand.
