All of the final videos, photos & posts on this thread make a fine and fitting tribute.

G’nite Andy. R.I.P.

It’s been swell. Fare thee well…

Maggie says: Jfish? Are you on your tablet/phone during the ACT? I’m appalled.

I usually tell Ariel to start without me, that way I can balance my checkbook and catch up on TBP, I only have to be there the last minute.

@EC… No, it wasn’t a Pamela Ewing Dream after all.

I was just thinking how interesting that in the course of 400 posts, I’d learned to respect you and come to dislike and distrust the seemingly harmless jellyfish…

I was thinking about that fishing trip I took back around Christmastime with EC. Thought I’d come look at the memories.

Now, almost a year later? Is still awesome to realize just how Unappreciated the little tadpole was and wonder whatever happened to my old friend.

I stopped by my oldest friend in the world’s grave Sunday afternoon. Seeing her under the earth, beautiful black marble with an engraving of her radiant smile captured forever in a photo taken at 40 exactly a decade before her smile and her life were inexplicably ended by breast cancer at 50 reminded me I have miles to go before I sleep.

My bunnies are assigned to help build the turf on her resting place so as to plant some really good grass next spring.

Very nice thing to read on All Saints day. Thank you.
The saying is, to remember, to recount stories and memories, is to give [the dead] life again.

This is Dia de Muertos, day of the dead. When people go to their loved ones’ grave to visit and leave a gift. My wife laughed to see the beer bottles left at grave-sites in Oahu.

The iconic ‘Katrina’ or ‘Catrina’ female skeleton in formal attire is a beloved figure in Mexico. It transmogrified to a cult of death, worship of Santa Muerte.

More rational Mexicans know that death, like life, is but a transition, a walk along glory road.

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening
By Robert Frost

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Wow, I’d forgotten what fun it was just bullshitting with a couple of real nuts. Even HF joined in.
And it’s a wonderful Halloween treat to see a new pic of Maggie, meant to disprove my theory that women get hooters or brains but not both. Thanks for the mammaries, Maggie.

Nice to see you Meho. And the trollslayer too.

I am currently planning to turn my old friend’s grave into a landscaped, bunny pellet fertilized garden where her daughters, friends and parents will be delighted to sit and think about what a terrible loss her death is for us all.

The bunnies are happy to help.

I told my old friend’s daughter when she and I were discussing what I should plant on her mother’s grave that her father had been easy to convince (to pay for what I’m getting ready to do.) He knew it needs to be done… She was surprised. I told her “there is not one person on this earth who is as stupid as your mother thought your father to be.”

In this weird week in Mayberry, where the world is waking up to realize they almost elected the Wicked Witch of the World to the presidency, I am wondering if my comment about not one person as stupid above is really true, even in a hyperbolic way.
