Actually, Nancy is mostly likely suffering from a progressive neurological disease or condition, and is taking increasing dosages of medication to fight the symptoms. When the medication wears off, it will do so at the most stressful times, and you get her weird looks and responses, leading people to think she’s drunk or stoned. There was an article in the Washington Post awhile back regarding elected congressional representatives healthcare plan and their own pharmacy (Grubb’s) and the pharmacist, an asian guy, was interviewed. He didn’t say who was taking these drugs, but he did say that elected officials were taking anti-Alzheimer and degenerative neurological medications. I was astonished this information was made public (it must have slipped past the censors unnoticed), but it does explain a great deal about much of CONgress’s behavior. Plus, its the (com)Post, so I think they figure no conservative would be caught dead reading their rag.
