In a couple of weeks, there will be an election for all 435 US House seats and 1/3 (34) of the Senate seats. Democrats currently have a 12 seat majority in the House, with 5 vacant seats and the Senate is split 50-50, including the 2 independents caucusing with the democrats. Most of the polls show the generic republican beating the democrat, but I have never seen a generic republican or democrat on a ballot.
- Which party will win the majority of the House and how many seats will they pick up?
- Which party will win the majority of the Senate and how many seats will they pick up?
- If there is a governor’s race in your state, which party will win and will that be a change of party?
- What will be the priority of the new CONgress
The winner will become the TBP Political Pundit of the Month and will receive all of the honors and accoutrements that go with the title.
My answers:
1. Republicans pick up 52 seats for the majority & McCarthy will be selected Speaker.
BONUS: SanFranNan will shortly thereafter announce her retirement from politics and she will move to Florida to avoid the high taxes of CA.
2. All of the toss-up races in the Senate are in the same states where vote counting was “suspended” in ’20. Philly, Phoenix and Atlanta will provide just enough votes for the dems to win, but Vegas & Milwaukee will fall short, so it will remain 50-50 with the Kneegrow providing the tie breaking vote. This will become a problem when the Corrupt, Creepy, Senile, Old Pedophile is deposed (unless it is done in the next 2 months), as the new VP will have to be confirmed by both Houses of Congress. This will reduce the chances of a radical being appointed VP, unless someone buys off McCarthy and Romney, which is highly likely.
3. TN has a governor’s race, but I have yet to see a sign or ad for the democrat candidate. I don’t even know who is running against the sitting governor. It will be a 70-30 win for the R.
4. The priority in the Senate will be to increase the number of SCOTUS Justices to 13, approve as many radical judges as they can, spend moar money & protect the seats of incumbents.
The priority of the Republican House will be to talk about how they will close the border, investigate corruption and defund the FIB. After all the talk, they will just spend moar money, but not quite as fast as the democrats.

If another 2020 election midnight cheat doesn’t play, Republicans easily pick up house, take Senate by 1 or 2 members, and the Republicans will do nothing, but line their own pocket with lucre. On a positive, the demise of the USA will slow down, slightly. To really get something don, Republicans must oust Mitch, and let someone like Jim Jordan as speaker.
Our Governor in AK is fairly good, and he should easily win as he has fought Biden’s mandates fairly well. The more interesting races are for Senat and housee. Lisa Murkowski is a supposed Republican who votes with Biden about 60% of the time. She is supposedly down in the polls to Kelly Tshibaka, a pro Trumper, who spent her career as a government worker. But at this point anything is better than Lisa. For congress, it is a complete mess with the ranked voting. We have two Republicans, Begich and Palin, going against one Demonrat. The demonrat seems to be a nice native woman, and she is current congressmen for only a few months, as Don Young died. It is a really close race, and the trouble is the two Republicans fighting each other. So with 65% of the vote, she won in the August election. Begich and Palin both have some good and bad points. Palin is Trump supported, but she ran with McCain, so is she deep state? Begich was a supporter of Don Young, who was useless his last several years. It’s a toss up. As for the nice native woman, Peltola, if you was a really nice person you wouldn’t support the killing and maiming of children. She is just a pawn of the left wing and nothing more.

We won’t know the actual results of the election until February or March.
Even if the Repub candidates sweep the elections, and the Dems politely step aside (Ha! Not likely…), it will still be a while before we find out whether we elected actual conservatives, or just another round of RINOs. Will the new Republican majorities IMMEDIATELY begin rescinding the various unConstitutional EOs, legislation, and mandates, and IMMEDIATELY begin impeachment hearings, and IMMEDIATELY begin pressing legal charges against criminal enterprises like the FBI? If the new politicians sit there with their thumbs up their exhaust pipes and tell us “we need to get some committees together to investigate whether any laws have been broken to such a degree that there may be some liability large enough to justify reorganizing any of the agencies etc. etc. etc.” then we know that NOTHING has changed.
We may not know by Jan 20th, but we will probably know by February 20th. If there have not been some tectonic governmental shifts by the end of February then there will be no political solution. I hate to say that this is the last even slightly possible chance of a mostly peaceful resolution of the current corruption — but there absolutely won’t be any more chances if this time does not work.

I use to vote some Libertarian Party candidates but in 2014 my eyes were opened to how gay that “party” has become. So, that leaves an independent if any meaning I probably will refrain especially since I learned the carrier pigeon was shot and someone’s cats ate the dang thing so my early vote is MIA.
