Well the shoe dropped yesterday, after a little more than a week in hospice my spouse who was in his 50’s passed. Taking a few weeks off work now, have to clean up the house to sell it among other things. This is KaD btw, not sure how it came up Anon.

My baby brother (59 years old) got summoned to hospice late yesterday because they thought his wife was going to pass any minute.
She’s still here 16 hours later … but, obviously, not much longer …

Saw one of these in ’74 south of Indy going to IU. It was going N. as we passed. He turned around and came back S and passed me (doing 80) which appeared to be about 150. It was a sight to behold. A college buddy had a ’72 Super Bee.

Been there, done that. Mid 60’s Central Maine, we scrounged the leftover potatoes in the field with our pillow cases, got a few deer and managed to survive. Live is tough.

The semi trailer hooking the fender on the SUV and taking it for a ride reminds me of a co-worker’s mishap some years ago.
He was on a mechanic’s creeper under a truck in the shop. Rolling out feet first he snagged a nostril on a fuel tank strap bolt. The howling could be heard far and wide.
