Symptoms of Illness

Guest Post by Mesomorph

Perception is solitary. There will be as many different perceptions to a situation as there are perceivers. That however doesn’t stop our handlers from loosely corralling us into whatever two groups they think they can convince us have a dividing line between them. Divide and conquer. One doesn’t need to study Clausewitz to understand the benefits. I once heard that there are two types of people in this world- those that lump people into two awkward groups and those who don’t.

Every election cycle brings us two new groups that are pitted against each other. A scribbly divide is created and voila, democracy! I see that there is pressure right now to lump the plebs into one of two groups in the upcoming presidential election. Without any conscious decision on our parts we are being directed either to the group who perceives Donald Trump as the disease or the group who believes he is the cure. The former watches his speeches and all they can see is a festering carbuncle right in the middle of America’s forehead. The latter group looks at Donald Trump as penicillin, chemo and insulin all rolled up into one flamboyant orange pill that will magically cure our syphilis and cancer ridden diabetic body.

The Last Confirmation Bias Test of This Election

Guest Post by Scott Adams

Last year in this blog I told you that Trump would change more than politics. I said he would forever change how you view reality. I’ll prove that to you today with a fun experiment.

At the end of this post I will give you a link to a very short video clip showing Hillary Clinton getting off her jet and into her car. Trump supporters will say she looks like she is drunk, or unsteady for some other health-related reason. And they will say it is obvious. Now try showing the clip to a Clinton supporter and watch how they see nothing wrong with the way she is walking.

Who is right?

Sucking the Blood of a Declining Civilization

Sucking the Blood of a Declining Civilization

decliningcivilization

Civilization has to be transmitted from one generation to another. If it isn’t, processes break down and life becomes difficult. Soon there must be a painful reform, or else the civilization will be lost.

This is fundamentally the job of families (especially parents), but at the moment that’s not really possible: How many families can survive on one income? And if one of the parents can’t stay home and teach the fundamental lessons of civilization, who will pass them to the next generation?

Certainly the better daycare facilities try, but to think that someone watching a couple dozen kids is going to transmit civilization to them as effectively as a parent who’s with the child day and night is simply ridiculous. The blame for this rests almost solely at the feet of the state of course, but we’re getting ahead of ourselves.

I’ll begin by quoting the redoubtable Fred Reed on the current situation:

Julian Assange Issues Statement On The US Election

Just released by Wikileaks

Assange Statement on the US-Election

By Julian Assange

In recent months, WikiLeaks and I personally have come under enormous pressure to stop publishing what the Clinton campaign says about itself to itself. That pressure has come from the campaign’s allies, including the Obama administration, and from liberals who are anxious about who will be elected US President.

On the eve of the election, it is important to restate why we have published what we have.

The right to receive and impart true information is the guiding principle of WikiLeaks – an organization that has a staff and organizational mission far beyond myself. Our organization defends the public’s right to be informed.

This is why, irrespective of the outcome of the 2016 US Presidential election, the real victor is the US public which is better informed as a result of our work.

Ivy Day In The Blogosphere

Guest Post by The Zman

The first election in which I had an emotional investment was the 1976 presidential election. I was only ten years old, but we were Democrats so I got to vote anyway. In fact, I voted several times that day, along with all of my dead relatives and their dead friends. I’m kidding, of course, but it was the first time I cared about an election. I grew up in a Democrat family, but some family members were breaking ranks with the party and that made for some ugly conversations at Sunday dinner.

Despite my Southern sensibilities, I was not a Carter fan. Even at that age, I was a bit of a contrarian. There was just something about Carter that bothered me. There was that and the fact that the hard core Nixon haters in my family were nuts. There was an aunt that always went on and on about her trip to San Francisco in the 60’s. She was well on her way to becoming a cat lady. The big Nixon hater was an uncle, who was big into Kennedy conspiracy stuff. It just seemed to me that Carter people were not all there.

DRAIN THE SWAMP ELECTION DAY OPEN THREAD

It’s finally here. It’s the last chance for the deplorable, bitter, gun and bible clinging, white, hard working, tax paying Americans to take this country back from sociopathic, left wing, socialist, gun hating, corrupt, middle class hating, free shit army, social justice tyrants.

It’s time to drain the swamp in D.C.

Use this thread to report on what you see at the polls. Report any voting oddities. Report the mood at the polls. Post your thoughts about this day and what it means for our future as a country. It’s all yours.

What Hath Trump Wrought?

What Hath Trump Wrought?

“If I don’t win, this will be the greatest waste of time, money and energy in my lifetime,” says Donald Trump.

Herewith, a dissent. Whatever happens Tuesday, Trump has made history and has forever changed American politics.

Though a novice in politics, he captured the Party of Lincoln with the largest turnout of primary voters ever, and he has inflicted wounds on the nation’s ruling class from which it may not soon recover.

Bush I and II, Mitt Romney, the neocons and the GOP commentariat all denounced Trump as morally and temperamentally unfit. Yet, seven of eight Republicans are voting for Trump, and he drew the largest and most enthusiastic crowds of any GOP nominee.

MOST HISTORICALLY ACCURATE POLLS SHOW TRUMP WIN

The final polls are in as of 6:00 am. The IBD poll has been the most accurate poll over the last three presidential elections. On the day before the 2012 election, the MSM polls showed a Romney victory. The IBD poll and LA Times poll showed a 3% Obama victory. They were right then and they’re right now, unless the establishment has rigged the results.

Your Complete Guide To Election Night: What To Watch For And When

Tyler Durden's picture

It’s almost over: the most divisive, theatrical, dramatic and dirty presidential campaign will be in the history books by this time tomorrow, with more than 130 million Americans expected to cast ballots across 50 states. However, just winning the popular vote will be insufficient: indeed, it may well be that the popular-vote winner does not win the electoral college.

So which states should one be looking at, and how long is the final day’s drama set to continue?

For the benefit of the traders out there, last week we showed a primer from Citigroup explaining when traders can hope to go home on election evening, according to which it was “all about Florida, North Carolina and Ohio.”

As Citi said, for traders hoping to capitalize on volatility next Tuesday as the election results come trickling in, it may all be over by early evening, at least if Trump loses. That is the calculation of Citi’s Steven Englander, who determined that if Trump loses either Florida or North Carolina or Ohio “the math doesn’t work and it tells us that the shift to Trump was not as pronounced as feared.”

QUOTE OF THE DAY

“Decency, security and liberty alike demand that government officials shall be subjected to the same rules of conduct that are commands to the citizen. In a government of laws, existence of the government will be imperiled if it fails to observe the law scrupulously. For good or for ill, it teaches the whole people by its example. If the Government becomes a lawbreaker, it breeds contempt for law; it invites every man to become a law unto himself; it invites anarchy.”

‘We the People’ Against Tyranny: Seven Principles for Free Government

Guest Post by John W. Whitehead

“As I look at America today, I am not afraid to say that I am afraid.”—Former presidential advisor Bertram Gross

A citizenry can only hold its government accountable if it knows when the government oversteps its bounds.

Unfortunately, the American governmental scheme is sliding ever closer towards a pervasive authoritarianism precisely because Americans are clueless about their rights—because Americans have been brainwashed into believing that their only duty as citizens is to vote—because the citizenry has failed to hold government officials accountable to abiding by the Constitution—and because young people are no longer being taught the fundamentals of the Constitution or the Bill of Rights, resulting in citizens who don’t even know they have rights.

This steady slide towards tyranny, meted out by militarized local and federal police and legalistic bureaucrats, has been carried forward by each successive president over the past fifty years regardless of their political affiliation.

PEOPLE HEARING WITHOUT LISTENING

Hello darkness, my old friend
I’ve come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains within the sound of silence

TOMORROW’S MESSAGE FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT

The establishment is pulling out all the stops to get their girl into the White House. Nothing like a 350 point gain in the Dow to try and convince the ignorant masses all is well. That brings it back to where it was last Tuesday, but don’t tell the sheep before they’re led to slaughter. The Clinton News Network and the rest of the “in the bag for Hillary” propaganda channels are all rolling out their resident “experts” to confirm her guaranteed victory.

Well, it’s not over until we’ve spoken. The deplorables need to summon the courage of the Brits saying fuck you to the EU and give a flaming middle finger to the establishment. Trump is our flaming middle finger. When voting tomorrow, every time you come across a Hillary supporter, give them the middle finger. This is war. There will be no compromise.
