Most gay people are liberals, vote Democrat, and dislike guns. What if one, two or three people in that club were armed with a gun? Maybe the casualty count would be much less. Meanwhile the MSM is still equivocating about whether it was Islamic terrorism. Answer: IT WAS!!!!

Approximately 20 killed and 42 injured after a gunman opened fire and took hostages at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, police said early Sunday. Officials said a hostage situation developed after the gunman stormed the Pulse Nightclub about 2 a.m. “We are looking at probably in the range of 20 [dead], but we don’t want to give you an exact figure,” Orlando Police Chief John Mina said.
The gunman was shot dead about three hours later when a SWAT team entered the club NBC reports. “It’s appears he was organized and well-prepared,” the chief said, adding that the shooter had an assault-type weapon, a handgun and “some type of (other) device on him.”
The preliminary assessment: the incident “could definitely be classified as domestic terrorism,” Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings said. Police have shot and killed the gunman, Mina told reporters.
Orlando police warned residents to stay away from the area, and urged people not to call their offices. They declined to provide the number of casualties, saying details will be available later. Bomb sniffing dogs are on the scene.
I‘m getting tired of all the gloom and doom these days. With the supreme court of Canuckistan making it official to kinda sorta screw the pooch and with the real possibility of a criminal winning the election to the South I decided yesterday it was time to take stock. What’s good about the world?
Well, for starters I kinda like most places where there aren’t a lot of people. So I’m giving a big thumbs to the places God made.

The big one of course is family. Which got me to thinking about kids. We like to “harsh” (I think that’s a word that kids use today) on millennials here but the truth is there are lots of good ones out there. I started to think about my kid’s friends and of the half dozen or so kids that each of my children hangs out with regularly. Truth be told there isn’t one in the bunch that I’d tell my kids to stay away from. In fact all of them are polite, well mannered, bright and decent human beings. I came home today and one of my son’s buddies was over and the two of them were jamming in the living room. Like the rest of them Hardeep always asks me how I am and addresses me as “Mr.” At 14 he is a bit of heavy metal prodigy and he and my son play together regularly. This is a bit of them playing together – a mix of Van Halen and stuff my son made up. They go back and forth so I can’t tell you which is which but when I hear and see stuff like this coming from nice young people I feel a little bit of hope.
At any rate – here’s my question. In spite of the constant degradation of civilization going on around us what in your estimation is still good about the world? I’m leading off with beautiful spaces and quality young people. Your turn.

A man has died after police in Georgia shot him in the neck while responding to a 911 call but going to the wrong location in a fatal case of mistaken identity.
Henry County Police were responding to a 911 call, Tuesday night, which reported gunshots, at a residence in Stockbridge. The caller also said they heard a woman crying for help but could not give an exact address.
Police arrived at the home of William Powell, 63, according to KTLA. He was armed with a handgun and was shot, by one of three police officers dispatched, after refusing to drop it.
Powell’s wife told WSB-TV2 Atlanta her husband thought they were intruders trying to get into the house.
The case is now being examined by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) who said that the 911 call indicates that the officers were at the wrong location, according to spokesman Scott Dutton as reported by AJC.com.
The GBI says Powell never fired his weapon. The officer who shot Powell is on paid administrative leave.
Powell was taken to the Atlanta Medical Center after the shooting and died there Thursday, according to his brother-in-law, Clifton Worn.
