BEWARE: EXTREMIST CONTENT

“It’s time you realized that you have something in you more powerful and miraculous than the things that affect you and make you dance like a puppet.” – Marcus Aurelius

This past weekend was a fascinating experience for someone who has spent most of the last fifteen months in his basement. Over the course of three days we experienced the best of America, celebrating the birth of our nation on a picturesque farmstead that could be the backdrop for a Norman Rockwell Americana painting. The seventeen hours of maneuvering through the interstates and back roads from Pennsylvania to New Hampshire, and back, were frustrating, eye opening, depressing and sometimes inspirational.

But, the nine hours spent on the farm with like minded friends, sharing thoughts about the past, present and future, downing a few cold beverages, eating fresh farm fare, watching the youngsters playing on trampolines, teenagers playing games and setting bonfires, and mingling with baby goats made the trek worth it. What I didn’t see was anyone tapping away on an iGadget. Just real down to earth folks chatting, joking, and enjoying each other’s company. Everyone feels welcome on Hopewell Farm, as Marc has created a paradise on earth over the last fifteen years, building a thriving farm – raising cattle, hogs, chickens, turkeys, and tapping the acres of maple trees to make the best syrup on earth.

Professor of Government Ethics helped cover up COVID nursing home deaths

Guest Post by Simon Black

Are you ready for this week’s absurdity? Here’s our Friday roll-up of the most ridiculous stories from around the world that are threats to your liberty, risks to your prosperity… and on occasion, inspiring poetic justice.

Does this Amazon box look like Hitler to you?

Amazon’s logo is meant to resemble a smile. But when the company added a serrated strip of blue tape above the smile, imaginations ran wild.

The Twitter mob quickly saw Hitler in the new logo— with the tape allegedly resembling his hair, and the smile somehow akin to his infamous mustache.

As a result, Amazon quickly changed the logo to a peeled back piece of tape instead. (But if you squint, maybe you can see Osama Bin Laden in the new logo?)

Andrew Cuomo is Robespierre… Watch Out For the Guillotine Andy

Guest Post by PF Whelan

Not even four months ago, on November 23, 2020, Democratic New York Governor Andrew Cuomo was riding high; at his highest, in fact. It was on that Monday, just three days before Thanksgiving, that Cuomo received an Emmy Award for his leadership during the early days of the COVID pandemic during which, according to the Television Academy which issued the award, “People around the world tuned in to find out what was going on, and New York tough became a symbol of the determination to fight back.”

Cuomo Assures Public He Always Kept Mask On While Sexually Harassing Women

Via The Babylon Bee

ALBANY, NY—New York Governor Andrew Cuomo apologized this weekend for his long-standing habit of sexually abusing young women he holds power over. And while that all sounds quite bad, Governor Cuomo did make it clear to the public that he always wore a mask and socially distanced during these interactions– a fact that has some folks saying he should get off free.

My story of working with Governor Cuomo

Guest Post by Lindsey Boylan

“Let’s play strip poker.”

I should have been shocked by the Governor’s crude comment, but I wasn’t.

We were flying home from an October 2017 event in Western New York on his taxpayer-funded jet. He was seated facing me, so close our knees almost touched. His press aide was to my right and a state trooper behind us.

“That’s exactly what I was thinking,” I responded sarcastically and awkwardly. I tried to play it cool. But in that moment, I realized just how acquiescent I had become.

Governor Andrew Cuomo has created a culture within his administration where sexual harassment and bullying is so pervasive that it is not only condoned but expected. His inappropriate behavior toward women was an affirmation that he liked you, that you must be doing something right. He used intimidation to silence his critics. And if you dared to speak up, you would face consequences.

That’s why I panicked on the morning of December 13.
