Cows Call Greenhouse Gas Charges Udderly Ridiculous in Raucous Video

Guest Post by Kevin Lynn

Cows are uniting around the world to push back against claims that agriculture and animal husbandry need to be targeted to significantly lower greenhouse emissions. Translating for the cows, Kevin Lynn, Executive Director of Progressives for Immigration Reform said, “Cows are one of the most underappreciated groups in the world.  They aren’t the problem.  It’s people.  Population growth.  More people mean more cars, more infrastructure, more consumption, more electricity, more greenhouse gases.”

Stop the Presses

CANADIAN, Texas — Adam Isaacs stood surrounded by cattle in an old pasture that had been overgrazed for years. Now it was a jumble of weeds.

“Most people would want to get out here and start spraying it” with herbicides, he said. “My family used to do that. It doesn’t work.”

Instead, Mr. Isaacs, a fourth-generation rancher on this rolling land in the northeast corner of the Texas Panhandle, will put his animals to work on the pasture, using portable electrified fencing to confine them to a small area so that they can’t help but trample some of the weeds as they graze.

“We let cattle stomp a lot of the stuff down,” he said. That adds organic matter to the soil and exposes it to oxygen, which will help grasses and other more desirable plants take over. Eventually, through continued careful management of grazing, the pasture will be healthy again.

“These cows are my land management tool,” Mr. Isaacs said. “It’s a lot easier to work with nature than against it.”

IT WAS A FEELING

After getting an extra hour of sleep last night I followed my normal Sunday routine of heading to Wal-Mart and Giant at 7:00 am to avoid the onslaught of Wal-Creatures. It was crisp Fall morning with temperatures in the low 50’s with a gusty breeze. The sun was up and as I looked up expecting nothing but blue skies. What did I see? I saw chem-trails all over the sky. If you looked to the left, nothing but blue. Look to the right and you saw chem-trails forming into low level clouds. That pissed me off and set the mood for the trip.

As I drove the few miles on empty roads I couldn’t help but get the feeling the next few days would be historic and game changing. Normally I just get the essentials I need at Wal-Mart and then make my way to Giant for the food. Today I had a feeling I should pick up a few extras. Another case of water and a few extra gallon jugs to add to my supply. Some more supplies from the emergency aisle. Last week I bought another large propane tank. I’ve had this feeling before, and nothing came of it. But the water and supplies are in my storage area for when I am right. No downside to being prepared too early.

Capitalism Explained In 2015: “You Have Two Cows…”

Submitted by Simon Black via SovereignMan.com,

When I was a kid, I used to proudly wear around a T-shirt explaining different economic systems using ‘two cows’ as a metaphor.

It started off like this:

Socialism: You have two cows. Give one to your neighbor.

Then

Communism: You have two cows. The government takes both and gives you some milk.

And

Fascism: You have two cows. The government takes both and shoots you.

I started thinking about this last week when I was in Caracas, because it turns out that Venezuela is a real life example of the two cows metaphor.
