The Real Reason Why Trump Cancelled The Iran Deal

Authored by Eric Zuesse via The Strategic Culture Foundation,

The following is entirely from open online sources that I have been finding to be trustworthy on these matters in the past. These sources will be linked-to here; none of this information is secret, even though some details in my resulting analysis of it will be entirely new.

It explains how and why the bottom-line difference between Donald Trump and Barack Obama, regarding US national security policies, turns out to be their different respective estimations of the biggest danger threatening the maintenance of the US dollar as the world’s leading or reserve currency. This has been the overriding foreign-policy concern for both Presidents.

OLD MUHAMMAD HAD A FARM, JIHAD, JIHAD … OH!

Guest Post by Ann Coulter
Contrary to the lyin’ media’s lie that Trump is the liar, he isn’t. At least not all the time. But this week, he got off a true whopper.

Trump’s claim that he was pulling out of the Iran deal in order “to protect America’s national security interests” is a big, fat lie.

Iran has killed lots of American troops in the Middle East but has done nothing to any Americans here on our own soil.

Obviously, I’m not saying anyone was asking for it, but here are some rules to live by: If you don’t want to be falsely accused of rape by a stripper, don’t invite strippers to your lacrosse party. As of Monday, if you don’t want to get beaten up, don’t date Eric Schneiderman. And if you don’t want American troops getting blown up in the Middle East, don’t send troops there when we have absolutely no national security reason for doing so.

Lousy Deals and Turning Wheels

Guest Post by Jim Kunstler

In that long ago yesteryear of 1979, before blogging, tweeting, twerking, hacking, posting, ghosting, doxing, and all the other Internet-enabled compulsions of the present day, a gang of inflamed young men, said to be students, invaded the US embassy compound in Teheran and took fifty-two American embassy personnel hostage — crossing an age-old line of geopolitical conduct that kicked off the epic conflict between global Islam and a USA-led West, still on-going as you read.

I followed the Iran Hostage Crisis avidly… the gibbering mullahs, the blindfolded captives, the rotating cast of double-taking prime ministers who lectured Jimmy Carter on the Nightly News, the rescue attempt fiasco that killed eight American soldiers out in the Persian desert. Oddly, what I remember most after all these years was the fact that the hostages ran out of dental floss and had to swap around between them the same recycled last strand for weeks on end — a ticket to periodontal hell, if ever there was one.

IRAN WINS, ANGLO-ZIONIST EMPIRE LOSES

This is a smart move by Tehran.  There is nothing Iran needs that it can’t get from the other JCPOA signatories.  They will get the business contracts the US forfeits.   US sanctions will fall flat as China, Russia, France and Germany compete for Iran’s favors.  What is Trump going to do, bomb them?

So much for MAGA, thank a neocon.  But Q was right on top of it, right?  Pray.

Iran will remain in nuclear deal, US withdrawal illegal – Rouhani

Iran will remain in nuclear deal, US withdrawal illegal - Rouhani
Donald Trump’s decision to pull the US out of the Iranian nuclear deal is illegal, illegitimate and violating international agreements, Iranian president, Hassan Rouhani, in a televised address.

White House Caught Secretly Airlifting $1.7 Billion US Taxpayer Cash To Tehran To Ensure Iran Nuclear Accord Success

Tyler Durden's picture

What Donald Trump has proclaimed the worst deal ever made, may just have become worst-er. The shocking truth behind the US-Iran nuclear deal, as WSJ reports, is that John Kerry and the Obama Administration airlifted $1.7bn of cash in ‘compromise’ payments (read – bribe) to Tehran to ensure the release of 4 captured sailors coincidentally the same weekend as the signing of the nuclear deal.

With all the chatter of helicopter money as solution to the western world’s economic ills,The Wall Street Journal’s Jay Solomon and Carol Lee expose, it appears The Obama Administration is already busily dropping cash where ever it needs things done in a hurry…

VI DAY

The Liberation of US Foreign Policy

The Iran deal is the Israel lobby’s Armageddon

by Justin Raimondo, August 07, 2015

The Iran deal is a turning point in US foreign policy, and its approval by Congress will represent a sea change in American politics: it will mark nothing less than a day of liberation which future generations might dub “VI Day” – victory over Israel day.

The post-9/11 era saw the already formidable power of Israel’s lobby in the US rise to make it the decisive factor in any foreign policy debate: a heavyweight became acrushing weight, one that leveled any and all opposition to US intervention abroad under the steel toe of the “war on terrorism.” The Lobby’s role in ginning up the invasion and conquest of Iraq is well-documented in Stephen Walt and John Mearsheimer’s The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy, and there is no need to replicate their detective work here. I would merely add that, even before the Iraq invasion ,then Prime Minister Ariel Sharon issued fresh marching orders to the US military, specifying Iran, Libya, and Syria as the next victims on Tel Aviv’s list. AsHa’aretz reported in 2003, before the invasion of Iraq was even launched:

“‘These are irresponsible states, which must be disarmed of weapons mass destruction, and a successful American move in Iraq as a model will make that easier to achieve,’ Sharon said to a visiting delegation of American congressmen.

Talks on Extra US Money for Iran Deal to Begin in Several Months

by Jason Ditz, July 17, 2015

The latest in a long line of Israeli officials railing about the P5+1 nuclear deal with Iran, Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon talked up the idea that it posed a major threat to Israel, and meant the nation has to prepare a military option against Iran, as though Israel hasn’t been doing that for decades.

More importantly, Ya’alon become the first Israeli official to publicly talk about the actual end-game in all of this for Israel, a massive “compensation” package by the US government to Israel to placate them after the Iran deal.

It’s been widely reported in Israeli media since mid-May that this was going to happen, and the day of the deal’s announcement, President Obama is said to have tried to engage Netanyahu on the phone about coming to a specific price on the payoff, something Netanyahu spurned at the time.

Ya’alon indicated that Israel can’t engage in talks about the deal yet because they need to “study” the situation with Iran and calculate how much extra money they need to prepare a war against Iran in the future. He suggested the talks would resume in “several months.”

The talks before the deal reportedly had the figure around $3.6-$3.7 billion, and officials say they expect that figure to grow when the talks resume. The Netanyahu government is gambling on the idea that more intense lobbying against the deal will eventually for the US to up the offer.
