Help, I’m being oppressed! My freedom of speech was been utterly stripped from me because when I retired from the Army those fascist monsters took away my TOP SECRET security clearance. See, a security clearance is a special privilege I should be entitled to exploit for as long as I want to because… well, shut up peasant, that’s why. I learned this in my Con Law class, right after we studied the Constitution’s text enumerating the rights to abortion, wedding cake baking servitude, and to be called by the bizarre pronoun of your – I mean “xir” – choice.
Oh wait, all of that – except the giving up my clearance part – is utter nonsense.

I got a chuckle the other day watching a noted Swamp Creature, one Phil Mudd, put on a display of outrage and indignation when a black commentator correctly pointed out that Mudd – like many former senior officials in Washington – had cashed in on his government service big time. Mudd stormed off the stage in high dudgeon. The argument started over the decision by President Trump to revoke the security clearance of John Brennan, an old friend of Mudd.

If ex-CIA Director John Brennan did to Andrew Jackson what he did to Donald Trump, he would have lost a lot more than his security clearance.
He would have been challenged to a duel and shot.
“Trump’s … performance in Helsinki,” Brennan had said, “exceeds the threshold of ‘high crimes & misdemeanors.’ It was … treasonous.”
Why should the president not strip from a CIA director who calls him a traitor the honor and privilege of a security clearance? Or is a top-secret clearance an entitlement like Social Security?
CIA directors retain clearances because they are seen as national assets, individuals whose unique experience, knowledge and judgment may be called upon to assist a president in a national crisis.
Not so long ago, this was a bipartisan tradition.

There’s more than meets the eye to President Donald Trump’s decision to revoke the security clearances that ex-CIA Director John Brennan enjoyed as a courtesy customarily afforded former directors. The President’s move is the second major sign that Brennan is about to be hoist on his own petard. It is one embroidered with rhetoric charging Trump with treason and, far more important, with documents now in the hands of congressional investigators showing Brennan’s ringleader role in the so-far unsuccessful attempts to derail Trump both before and after the 2016 election.

Following Trump’s much-needed meeting with Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, a host of vermin emerged from the rotting carcass of America to hurl thunderbolts of criticism. Trump was called a traitor, a threat to America, a vile creature who has exiled himself from the human race into the nether darkness, a man who groveled before the New Hitler, the Enemy of All Mankind, the Madman from the Steppes, Vlad himself.
Of course, Trump was entirely correct in meeting with Putin and should have had such a meeting long ago. Trump did not say or do anything that should have surprised anybody with even the most basic understanding of history and current events.
Trump knows that the “collusion” claims are rubbish and that the alleged Russian meddling in our elections was more of a farce than a threat. Russia is no military threat to us at all – unless we invite an attack by our own foolish antics on the world stage. The Crimea is and always has been Russian, its brief Ukraine interlude a mere administrative flick of the pen by that delightful madcap Nikita Khruschev.

That is the thing to bear in mind when examining the rights and wrongs of the The Trump-Putin summit: Two leaders of two of the world’s most powerful nations, in Trump’s words “competitors” sorting out differences eyeball to eyeball.
Both men share Churchill’s approach, with Putin saying: “As nuclear powers, we bear special responsibility” for international security.
Putin said Russia (as a devout Christian country) considered it necessary for the two countries to work together on nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation – and to avoid weapons being placed in space.

Former CIA Director John Brennan tore into President Trump for his comments during a joint news conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin, arguing that Trump’s performance was “nothing short of treasonous.”
“Donald Trump’s press conference performance in Helsinki rises to & exceeds the threshold of ‘high crimes & misdemeanors.’ It was nothing short of treasonous. Not only were Trump’s comments imbecilic, he is wholly in the pocket of Putin. Republican Patriots: Where are you???” Brennan tweeted Monday.
A NATION BUILT ON LIES (PART 2)
In Part 1 of this article I detailed the damage done by the Deep State and the inevitability of another financial crisis destined to propel this Fourth Turning into its next most violent stage. Now I will examine whether Jordan Peterson’s rules for life can alleviate some of the pain headed our way.
Peterson’s reality-based assessment of our broken societal system has infuriated the social justice warriors and media propagandists whose narratives are based upon lies, misinformation, fake news, and a pliable dumbed down populace distracted by their techno-gadgets. Telling the truth and demolishing these false narratives with facts is the only way to fight those who have chosen the side of evil. Remaining silent in the face of their lies allows tyranny to expand inexorably and fill the vacuum left by the dearth of courageous truth tellers.

Who what where when why? The desiderata school teachers drill into their charges trying to master effective writing skills apply also in the effort to understand that byzantine drama known to the world as the Trump-Russia-collusion investigation.
Let’s start with “when.” When did it start? We know that the FBI opened its official investigation on 31 July 2016. An obscure, low-level volunteer to the Trump campaign called Carter Page was front and centre then. He’d been the FBI’s radar for a long time. Years before, it was known, the Russians had made some overtures to him but 1) they concluded that he was an “idiot” not worth recruiting and 2) he had actually aided the FBI in prosecuting at least two Russian spies.
