A Milwaukee mother of two is being lauded as a hero after rushing to defend the lives of her children after a home invader threatened their safety. The woman, who has asked to remain anonymous, was in the middle of a shower when she heard her two teenagers begin to scream. She rushed into the bedroom to grab her gun and proceeded to fatally shoot the intruder while still dripping wet, according to reports.

A Las Vegas vape store owner repeatedly stabbed a crook who frightened him by jumping over his counter during a botched robbery, according to video and the worker’s account of the incident.
Video footage showed the brazen broad-daylight heist on Wednesday, in which Johnny Nguyen, owner of Smokestrom Smoke Shop, stabbed the unidentified assailant at least seven times before the robber yelled, “I’m dead” and fell to the ground.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officials told The Post that cops responded Wednesday afternoon to a robbery incident at the vape business but would not release further details.
“I was scared for my life,” Nguyen told The Post on Friday. “When they came in, one of them had a bag in front of him like he had a firearm or something. I didn’t have much time to think. I grabbed my knife right next to the register.”
A frank reality is that home defense is something everyone needs to plan for.
Although crime may be very low in your area, that can change quickly. Plenty of high crime areas started as nice safe communities.
Many factors have contributed to areas becoming unsafe. The economic conditions due to COVID-19 have pushed many people into precarious financial straits. And when people are desperate, they’ll do things they would never have previously considered.
Similarly, the opioid crisis is directly linked to a rise in various crimes in communities and cities throughout America where use of these drugs is high.
Making the situation worse, a growing number of police officers are quitting due to lack of public support and/or open hostility towards them (e.g., “Defund the police!”). Fewer officers mean slower response times.
The totality of defensive skills counts many elements, all of them important to ensure you survive, and more importantly, prevail over those who would harm you or someone else.
It is this author’s estimation that, regrettably, the most underdeveloped element for many practitioners is one of the most vital: that of Judgment. And what’s more, judgment in the terrifying context of a possibly lethal encounter with a possible assailant. It is the sincere hope of the author that this primer will convince the reader to seek to develop the necessary training, legal knowledge, skills and ethics necessary to make a critical decision in difficult circumstances, and do so correctly.

(CCN) Is it ever legal to shoot cops? A growing number of states are passing laws that say that yes, in fact, sometimes it is well within a citizen’s rights to shoot a police officer.
Other states have already ruled in favor of citizens shooting police officers in self-defense, (even hip-hop legend Tupac walked after shooting two cops in self-defense) now, in the state of Indiana, if a police officer initiates aggression without cause in someone’s home, violence can be used against them in self-defense – including using lethal force.
The new law was drafted to “recognize the unique character of a citizen’s home and to ensure that a citizen feels secure in his or her own home against unlawful intrusion by another individual or a public servant.”
This should hardly be seen as profound. In the past, self-defense was viewed as a human right. The Bill of Rights does not grant rights to the citizenry of the United States, it recognizes natural rights. One of those rights — a veritable law of Nature — is the right to resist.
No matter what one does, or takes from you, nothing can stop the innate right to follow our natural impulses of resistance. That does not mean all will exercise that right. But the right itself is natural, primordial, inborn.
The new amendment in Indiana recognizes this. It makes it clear that badges do not grant special rights to break into someone’s house and commit acts of violent aggression. If they do, the resident has the right to resist those illegal actions and defend themselves.

What happened to the country that once conquered, at one time or another, almost every country in the world? When, exactly, did they turn into a nation of Massive Pussies?

(JD Heyes) The United Kingdom has been moving politically to the Left for some time now, but even in our wildest dreams, never could we have imagined that it would become illegal to protect yourself there.
As reported by The New American, British subjects seeking advice about what are and are not permissible self-defense instruments found some recently on a police web site. It is sponsored by the British government’s Police National Legal Database.
Q589: Are there any legal self defence products that I can buy?
The police answer:
The only fully legal self defence product… is a rape alarm.
Now, the site goes on to say that there may be other products, but those have yet to be fully tested and that “if you purchase one you must be aware… there is always a possibility that you will be arrested and detained until the product, it’s [sic] contents and legality can be verified.”
That’s not very reassuring, so in an effort to further reduce anxiety about “other” self-defense products, the site points out that any product a British citizen purchases other than a rape alarm “must not [be] a product which is made or adapted to cause a person injury.” Anyone possessing “such a product in public (and in private in specific circumstances) is against the law.”
