What makes a man fight on when no hope is left?

What turns him into a lion when cornered, selling his life dearly; all so that his brothers may yet live?

What spurs a man onward, knowing death is certain; knowing his doom lays before him, and yet, he rides out all the same?

Battles such as Thermopylae, Masada, and Antioch; Tenochtitlan to Gandamak; Little Bighorn to the Alamo; all perfectly capture the essence of the last stand – a battle against all odds. All provide us timeless lessons, and not just on battlefield tactics and military history. Last stands provide a sobering and yet critical look into the heart of a warrior: a look at the caliber of men — fighting for causes both righteous and unrighteous — who carved out their places in history with bronze, iron, and blood. Today we will explore one of the most underappreciated battles in this category: The Siege of Szigetvár, or as Cardinal Richelieu stated, “the battle that saved civilization.”

Terrorist-linked Islamists gathered to pray outside Parliament in Copenhagen – Danish politicians responded by burning the Quran

Islamists belonging to the terrorist-linked organisation Hizb ut-Tahrir held mass prayer at Christiansborg in central Copenhagen on Friday. At the same time, the immigration-critical party, Stram Kurs (Strict Course), held a counter-demonstration nearby to criticise the organisation and cook “bacon á la Quran” by burning the Quran on a grill.

Hizb ut-Tahrir’s self-proclaimed goal is to abolish democracy and introduce an Islamist sharia-led society instead.

“I’ll Carry Out A Massacre”: Bus Full Of Italian Children Set On Fire By Senegalese-Born Driver

A bus full of school children in Italy was set on fire by its driver in the outskirts of Milan on Wednesday in protest of migrants who have drowned due to the country’s hardline stance on blocking migrant vessels, according to Reuters.

Police were called to the scene and quickly managed to get everyone to safety before arresting the man.

The driver, Ousseynou Sy, a 47-year-old Senegalese-born Italian with a criminal record, reportedly shouted “Stop the deaths at sea, I’ll carry out a massacre” according to police spokesman Marco Palmieri.

Charlottes d’Ornellas, a conservative female journalist, got into a heated exchange with Hapsatou Sy, a leftist activist, over the Islamisation and Africanisation of France.

A virulent debate has begun to take place in France since Eric Zemmour, the most popular author in France with millions of books sold, said to Hapsatou Sy’s face, a leftist figure, that her name wasn’t french.

Charlotte d’Ornellas, a journalist of news outlet Valeurs Actuelle, faced Hapsatou Sy in a TV debate and argued on the Africanisation of France.

Judge Releases New Mexico Jihadists on Bond After Attorneys Complain of Racism

Five alleged Muslim extremists who are accused of training children to carry out school shootings have been released on bond after one of their attorneys complained that the men were only being targeted because they’re “black and Muslim,” as opposed to “white and Christian.”

Judge Sarah Backus said that prosecutors didn’t prove the alleged jihadists were “a danger to the community” and released them on a $20,000 “signature bond,” which means they won’t even have to pay the fee unless they violate the conditions of their release.

‘Grand Paris’ Race Canceled Over Migrant Camps Blocking Route

A popular running event in Paris has been canceled due to thousands of migrants establishing a sprawling encampment on the race route.

The annual ‘Grand Paris’ 10 kilometer run drew over 6,500 attendees last year, but has been called off over safety concerns, in deference to illegal immigrants who have been allowed to commandeer the banks of Canal Saint-Denis, a key stretch of the race.

“The Great Paris Grand Race is a race for sporting values, but also ecological, solidarity and humanistic,” organizers wrote in an official statement. “Today, more than 1,800 refugees from various backgrounds have settled under the bridges along the Saint-Denis Canal, taken by our route.”

Study: 70% of Europeans see rapid population growth of Muslims as a serious threat

A large majority of Europeans are becoming increasingly worried about the rapid population growth of Muslims, a February survey of the Századvég Foundation shows.

One thousand Europeans from 28 EU countries were asked: “How serious a threat to Europe is the rapid population growth of Muslims?”

Is Turkey Lost to the West?

Not long ago, a democratizing Turkey, with the second-largest army in NATO, appeared on track to join the European Union.

That’s not likely now, or perhaps ever.

Last week, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan compared Angela Merkel’s Germany to Hitler’s, said the Netherlands was full of “Nazi remnants” and “fascists,” and suggested the Dutch ambassador go home.

What precipitated Erdogan’s outbursts?

City officials in Germany refused to let him campaign in Turkish immigrant communities on behalf of an April 16 referendum proposal to augment his powers.

Americans get their views of the world mostly from TV and movies. Being separated by two big oceans from the rest of the world means we don’t get to rub shoulders with strangers too much. The result is those caricatures of foreigners we see on TV get seared into the our mind, even though they are often wildly inaccurate. The most obvious example is the way in which Germans and Germany are viewed by Americans. Germans are either avuncular clock makers or cold blooded automatons that are ruthlessly efficient.

Of course, Germans are mostly OK with this characterization as it works to their favor, except for the constant Nazi references. Having a reputation for exacting standards and ruthless precision is a good thing if you are in the business of making things like cars or machine tools. It also works when it comes to government. Most people, not just Americans, just assume that the well known German efficiency translates into making the trains run on time and keeping the streets clean and orderly.

A BIASED 2017 FORECAST (PART TWO)

In Part One of this article I discussed the failure of our brains to think rationally due to our biases and the relentless propaganda flogged by our Deep State ruling class. Viewing the future through the looking glass of the Fourth Turning keeps you focused on the three catalysts which will drive all events in 2017 and beyond. I’ve addressed my 2017 Debt forecast in Part One. Now I will make some guesses about what might happen in 2017 related to Civic Decay and Global Disorder.

Civic Decay Forecast

The presidential election and its aftermath tell you everything you need to know about the level of civic decay overtaking this country. The country is as divided as it was after the election of Abraham Lincoln in 1860. There is virtually no common ground between liberals and conservatives. The pure hatred and contempt between the winners and losers in the recent election does not bode well for the country over the next four to eight years.

The social fabric of the country has been torn asunder. The Clinton supporters believe anyone not on their side is deplorable, racist, misogynist, and fans of Hitler. Trump supporters believe anyone not on their side is low IQ, Muslim loving, deceitful, math challenged, and fans of a criminal. The gulf between the two sides is unbridgeable.

GREY CHAMPION ASSUMES COMMAND (PART TWO)

In Part One of this article I discussed the arrival of Grey Champions in previous Fourth Turnings; their attributes, deficiencies, and leadership skills; and why Donald Trump is the Grey Champion of this Fourth Turning – whether you like it or not. Now I will try to make sense of what could happen next.

“Our movement is about replacing a failed and corrupt political establishment with a new government controlled by you, the American people. The establishment has trillions of dollars at stake in this election. For those who control the levers of power in Washington and for the global special interests, they partner with these people that don’t have your good in mind. The political establishment that is trying to stop us is the same group responsible for our disastrous trade deals, massive illegal immigration and economic and foreign policies that have bled our country dry.

It’s a global power structure that is responsible for the economic decisions that have robbed our working class, stripped our country of its wealth and put that money into the pockets of a handful of large corporations and political entities. The only thing that can stop this corrupt machine is you. The only force strong enough to save our country is us. The only people brave enough to vote out this corrupt establishment is you, the American people.” – Donald Trump

Seventy year old Donald Trump has assumed the Grey Champion flagstaff. In an increasingly chaotic world, normal working class Americans in flyover country were seeking a leader who could bring order, defeat the corrupt establishment, make tough decisions, and capture the zeitgeist of this moment in history. The ruling elite oligarchs and their fawning minions, occupying their strongholds in New York, California, Illinois, and D.C., are infuriated the peasants have dared to resist. In their secretive secure spaces, the elites are plotting with one purpose in mind – this uprising must be quelled.
