MAD WORLD

And I find it kinda funny, I find it kinda sad
The dreams in which I’m dying are the best I’ve ever had
I find it hard to tell you, I find it hard to take
When people run in circles it’s a very very
Mad world, mad world

The haunting Gary Jules version of the Tears for Fears’ Mad World speaks to me in these tumultuous mad times. It must speak to many others, as the music video has been viewed over 132 million times. The melancholy video is shot from the top of an urban school building in a decaying decrepit bleak neighborhood with school children creating various figures on the concrete pavement below. The camera pans slowly to Gary Jules singing on the rooftop and captures the concrete jungle of non-descript architecture, identical office towers, gray cookie cutter apartment complexes, and a world devoid of joy and vibrancy.

The song was influenced by Arthur Janov’s theories in his book The Primal Scream. The chorus above about his “dreams of dying were the best he ever had” is representative of letting go of this mad world and being free of the monotony and release from the insanity of this world. Our ego fools us into thinking the madness of this world is actually normal. Day after day we live lives of quiet desperation. Despite all evidence our world is spinning out of control and the madness of the crowds is visible in financial markets, housing markets, politics, social justice, and social media, the level of normalcy bias among the populace has reached astounding levels, as we desperately try to convince ourselves everything will be alright. But it won’t.

The opiate of the masses is not just religion, but the propaganda, misinformation, lies and technological distractions designed by the invisible government ruling class to provide the masses with pleasant illusions about their country, society, and material situation. If the masses were to wake up and realize they are being manipulated, oppressed, and corralled like sheep, revolution would sweep the land. People are being driven mad by an overwhelming feeling of cognitive dissonance.

The mental masturbation required by a vast swath of the population who see the evidence of decline, created by excessive use of debt and systematic corruption of government, finance, and the media, has created a society of mentally stressed zombies. They know things aren’t right, but to admit the truth would shatter their delusions and require them to act. It’s easier to self-medicate with drugs, alcohol and losing themselves in their technological fantasy world of social media. They would rather believe comforting lies than deal with uncomfortable truth. They go along with the lies because to do otherwise would produce tremendous mental discomfort.

All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Going nowhere, going nowhere
Their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, no expression
Hide my head, I want to drown my sorrow
No tomorrow, no tomorrow

The lyrics can be interpreted differently by different people, but the lyrics above paint a clear panorama of our mad world for me. We are running in circles, getting up early every morning, following the same routine, dutifully going to our work cubicles, seeing the same people, doing the same thing, and pretending it matters, for a paycheck worth less each day. We do this because we are trained like animals to believe buying shit we don’t need on credit is the way to get ahead in life.

Materialism, consumerism, greed, and keeping up with the Joneses has been embedded in our brains through years of government school indoctrination and media propaganda. Very few people succeed in getting ahead. They are just running on a hamster wheel and going nowhere. This is why there is so much depression, anger, and misplaced priorities in our lives.

Walking along a street in any crumbling urban area in this country you see miserable faces staring blankly as they trudge through their lives on the road to nowhere or wasting time absorbed by trivialities and bullshit emanating from their iGadgets. The lives of so many are a meaningless march of misery and mindless repetition of daily chores. There is an overwhelming cloud of sadness permeating the lives of the masses as our repulsive culture, built on fulfilling desires, consumerism, selfishness and greed, ultimately results in delusional, disappointed and desperate human beings.

This dysfunctional culture has resulted in soaring levels of suicide, drug overdoses, depression, and the formation of mentally unstable people who periodically go on shooting rampages for no foreseeable reason. Turn on the 24 hour news and try not realizing the world has gone mad.

Children waiting for the day, they feel good
Happy birthday, happy birthday
Made to feel the way that every child should
Sit and listen, sit and listen
Went to school and I was very nervous
No one knew me, no one knew me
Hello teacher, tell me what’s my lesson
Look right through me, look right through me

Our society did not become so ludicrous, misguided and defective overnight. It has been decades in the making. And it can be attributed to the purposeful effort by those in control of the government in destroying our educational system and replacing it with a social indoctrination system. Children are no longer taught how to think, but how to feel. Children are being raised by the state as nothing more than cogs in the machine.

The family unit has self-destructed as millions of children are raised in fatherless households, broken households, or dysfunctional households. They are not taught how to act and think by loving parents at home, so they are easily susceptible to the social justice dogma jammed down their throats by low IQ government robots inhabiting the classrooms of our public schools. As Frank Zappa pointed out years ago, you need to educate yourself and not let government schools rot your mind. We didn’t heed his advice.

“Drop out of school before your mind rots from exposure to our mediocre educational system. Forget about the Senior Prom and go to the library and educate yourself if you’ve got any guts. Some of you like Pep rallies and plastic robots who tell you what to read.”Frank Zappa

Children who question authority or do not act in a subservient manner are immediately diagnosed with ADD and drugged into submission. The public-school system doesn’t want high performers, critical thinkers or anyone questioning their government mandated orthodoxy. The ruling class (aka Deep State) wants controllable, malleable, non-thinking automatons to do the menial low paying jobs, buy cheap foreign crap with their credit cards, and be dependent upon the state for their miserable existence. George Carlin figured it out many years ago:

“They want obedient workers. People who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork, and just dumb enough to passably accept all these increasingly shittier jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime, and the vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it.  It’s a big club. And you ain’t in it. You and I are not in the big club. By the way, it’s the same big club they use to beat you over the head with all day long when they tell you what to believe. All day long, beating you over the in their media telling you what to believe — what to think — and what to buy. The table is tilted, folks. The game is rigged. And nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care.”

Unhappy, drugged up, deluded children, who have been treated like a number, grow up to be unhappy, overly medicated, easily manipulated adults, creating the mad world we are experiencing. Children are waiting for the day they will feel good – like their birthday – but the day will never come. They grow up and do as they are told – going into massive debt to get a worthless college education – learning how to be offended – graduating as special snowflakes seeking safe spaces. After being protected and propagandized during their entire youth they are entirely unprepared for the real world of low wages, menial labor, and thinking for themselves. Multiple generations have experienced this despicable process, implemented by those in power.

They enter adulthood just as their keepers desire – enslaved in debt, dependent upon the mass media to tell them how to think – and dependent upon the state for their health and welfare. They don’t know how to think critically as their technological toys and endless absorption of trivialities on social media platforms makes them dumber by the minute. Frank Zappa understood the danger of mass media 45 years ago with his song “I’m the Slime”.

He realized the government and mega-corporations used TV as a tool for their propaganda, molding the minds of our youth, manipulating them into conforming to the ideas, opinions, habits and tastes desired by those pulling the strings of society. Zappa had no idea how much more control the corporate fascists could seize once the internet and social media proliferated around the world. Combining the power of the surveillance state with the devious underhanded methods of Google, Facebook and Twitter has created a social concentration camp with government armed guards and social justice warrior corporations providing the propaganda.

“I’m vile and perverted.
I’m obsessed and deranged.
I’ve existed for years but very little has changed.
I’m the tool of the government and industry too.
For I’m destined to rule and regulate you.
You may think I’m pernicious, but you can’t look away.
I’ll make you think I’m delicious with the stuff that I say.
I’m the best you can get… have you guessed me yet?
I’m the slime oozing out of your TV set….”
― Frank Zappa

The detrimental impact of social media has been documented in a recent study at an Ivy League university. Those who reduced their usage of social media saw a significant decrease in depression and loneliness. The data proved spending hours per day on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other social media is damaging to the mental health of college students.

Social media is nothing more than virtue signaling and peacocking by people trying to pump up their own egos. The incessant narcissism broadcast by the “beautiful” people results in others comparing their lives to these shallow egocentric elitists. When normal people spend their days comparing their plain lives to the fake awesome lives of strutting egomaniacs, they become depressed and unhappy with their own lives.

Until people put down their gadgets, spend time living in the real world with real people and stop idolizing shallow faux icons, they will become even more mentally unstable. This seems unlikely, as young children are handed tech gadgets while they are still in their designer cribs. The masses will never willingly put down their addictive devices and deal with real issues in a real way.

Until this selfie society undergoes a drastic reversion to reality, likely spurred by a debt implosion and civil or global conflict, people will continue to mindlessly wander the earth staring down at their smart phones, getting dumber by the minute. This madness will stop when daily survival becomes more important than Kanye and Trump’s latest tweet. Until people are more concerned with where they are going to obtain their next meal than the number of likes they are getting from posting a picture of their latest trendy restaurant meal, the madness will continue.

If you think the general public and our youth are acting madly, the supposedly brilliant Ivy League educated financial minds are saying “hold my beer”. The Intellectual Yet Idiot central banker academic puppets of Wall Street have done what they do best – blow bubbles and create madness in the markets. Their debt creation (aka money printing) since the crisis they created in 2008, due to their easy money/no regulation policies, has created the largest debt bubble in world history.

When you create the biggest bubble in history you will ultimately have biggest bust in history. They created the Dot.com bubble and the housing bubble in the space of eight years. They have triple downed and created a stock, bond and real estate (aka Everything Bubble) bubbles. It boggles my mind watching the feckless financial world go mad, believing they’ve made billions based on their investing prowess when it has clearly been handed to them by recklessly incompetent corrupt central bankers and government apparatchiks.

https://www.zerohedge.com/sites/default/files/inline-images/CorporateDebtAnnotated-1.png?itok=Z1lGmL1k

As Charles MacKay found throughout history, men go mad in herds, and will only regain their sanity individually based upon their ability to grasp reality when it clubs them over the head with a baseball bat. The recklessness of the highly educated is built upon a false belief they are smarter than markets and have rigged the system in a way that insures they will never lose.

The arrogance and hubris of these delusional masters of the universe during their mad pursuit of riches always leads to their downfall. These are truly mad times when millions of people can fix their minds on provably ridiculous conspiracy theories of Russians throwing a presidential election to the candidate of their choice. So many people are so easily convinced of the most ridiculous ideas (aka socialism works), that folly has become the national sport. This level of idiocracy will surely end badly for this nation.

Image result for madness of crowds

“In reading The History of Nations, we find that, like individuals, they have their whims and their peculiarities, their seasons of excitement and recklessness, when they care not what they do. We find that whole communities suddenly fix their minds upon one object and go mad in its pursuit; that millions of people become simultaneously impressed with one delusion, and run after it, till their attention is caught by some new folly more captivating than the first.”Charles MacKay, Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds

As a born skeptic, I feel uncomfortable living in this land of delusions, illusions and confusions. I don’t fit in. I don’t want to fit in. Does that make me abnormal or normal? I don’t want to be part of any team. I will not blindly cheer for Democrats or Republicans. I intensely dislike the worldviews and ideas of Obama, McCain, Romney, and Clinton. I have found Trump to be endlessly entertaining and agree with his pushback on the press, the GOPe, and left wing open border lunatics. The only politicians I’ve ever had any real respect for were from the Paul family.

I’m all for lower taxes, but Trump’s tax cuts for mega-corporations and the rich did little for the plight of the average American, while allowing corporations to buy back billions of their stock at market highs to keep the market bubble inflating. Cutting taxes while drastically increasing government spending nine years into an economic recovery is pure lunacy. Trump created a one year reprieve on the recession with this debt financed adrenaline injection, making this Potemkin economy appear strong, when in fact it is on the verge of collapse.

Driving deficits past the trillion dollar level at this point in the economic cycle is a recipe for disaster, but talking heads on the TV screen act like it is perfectly normal. Keeping real interest rates below zero nine years into a supposed economic recovery is insane, but the intellectual yet idiot central bankers and their criminal banking cartel owners, who profit from this insidious policy, act as if this is normal. It’s not normal. It’s about as abnormal as you can possibly get.

This madness and abnormality is clear to me. I can’t understand why it isn’t clear to others. Am I mad? Am I the one who is abnormal? How can so many millions of people be oblivious to the facts and reality of our situation? They just seem to sleepwalk through life believing what they are told, thinking the way their keepers want them to think, doing what they are told to do, not questioning authority figures, and fulfilling their infinite appetite for distractions with their technological gadgets. As Huxley predicted in the late 1950s, the fact people have adjusted to this profoundly abnormal society is a measure of their mental sickness. Being normal today is considered abnormal.

“The real hopeless victims of mental illness are to be found among those who appear to be most normal. “Many of them are normal because they are so well adjusted to our mode of existence, because their human voice has been silenced so early in their lives, that they do not even struggle or suffer or develop symptoms as the neurotic does.” They are normal not in what may be called the absolute sense of the word; they are normal only in relation to a profoundly abnormal society. Their perfect adjustment to that abnormal society is a measure of their mental sickness. These millions of abnormally normal people, living without fuss in a society to which, if they were fully human beings, they ought not to be adjusted.”Aldous Huxley, Brave New World Revisited

I refuse to accept the ideology perpetuated by the Deep State and their collaborators in the media, financial industry, academia and corporate board rooms. I would rather be estranged from the general population than sacrifice my integrity by adapting my thinking to a pathology of lies, delusions, and denial. I already feel like an outcast among family and friends. Meeting old friends for drinks and seeing how they have been brainwashed by the media and political class is depressing.

Sometimes I’ve doubted my own sanity when watching the stock market soar, year after year, to the most overvalued level in history. Shouldn’t I have gone along with the crowd and ignored facts and reality? Groupthink has enriched millions of lemmings. But, I’m a stubborn bastard and will never go along with the crowd. I believe my facts are right and expect to watch millions of lemmings get slaughtered over the next year or so. It’s already begun, but they are too brainwashed and will be paralyzed as their faux wealth evaporates once again.

I feel I’ve psychologically and emotionally suffered from being a sane man in an insane world. I’ve been alienated and shunned, but I’ve retained my dignity and self-respect. I’ve got my family and preserve my ability to think critically, question everything, and refuse to go along with the crowd. It’s a sometimes lonely position, but I’ve made this decision with my eyes wide open and a willingness to accept the consequences.

I will not adapt myself to a sick society where vices are considered virtues, lies are considered truth, feeling overrides thinking, fiction passes for fact, enemies are created to instill fear, and insanity is considered sane. It’s a mad mad world, but I choose not be overcome by the madness. What is your choice?

When my flip phone died – my wife and I decide to get Android phones. It was a lot cheaper that Verizon. We don’t use the phones, except for an occasional phone call. The best part is the Bluetooth for hands free talking in the car.

As a long time software developer I was amazed with all the bullshit in owning this phone. The device is demanding – “we have an update for ….” at least once a week. You have this, you have that, what’s it telling me, what do I have to do, it interrupts your life . I was really pissed when the phone asked me if I enjoyed my dining – out of the box it’s collecting data! Well I managed to turn all that shit off.

I took a couple of pictures to make sure I know how it worked.

All in all it’s bullshit. I see how it has fucked up the children’s minds. It causes one to be absorbed, self centered.

“Unless you are a day trader or engaged in combat how much real time information do people need?” Unit, that’s just dumb. But I will answer your question. I need whatever I need. I live in a world where the fast eat the slow. A smartphone is a tool, nothing more, nothing less. I’ve never been on Facebook. but if I was on it everyday that would be fine too, if it was helpful to my life. But that phone works for me, I don’t work for it. That’s one of the biggest concepts to wrap your head around. It doesn’t intrude into my life because I don’t let it, any more than I would let a hammer intrude into my life. It’s a tool, a great tool. Treat it as such.

Use it or lose it. Our brains are becoming dumber and dumber by using a “smart” phone. Smart phone = dumb people. “Smart phone = dumb people.” Dumb statement-low IQ. See how that works? Let me tell you a little story, about cell phones, not even smartphones. I was at an trade show back in the early 90s. We were all killing it, me and my competitors. I was an early adapter to cell phones, it was a Miami thing. Everybody at the show basically sold out. Everyone was standing around congratulating themselves on how well they did that weekend. Not me. There was only one specialty supplier that we all used in Hawaii. I pulled my little gadget, as it was contemptuously referred to back then, out of my pocket and called the supplier at home. and locked up his next 6 months production. I think that’s where the phrase, “who’s your daddy?” came from.

Unforgiven lyrics

New blood joins this Earth
And quickly he’s subdued
Through constant pained disgrace
The young boy learns their rules
With time the child draws in
This whipping boy done wrong
Deprived of all his thoughts
The young man struggles on and on he’s known
A vow unto his own
That never from this day
His will they’ll take away easy

[Chorus]
What I’ve felt, what I’ve known
Never shined through in what I’ve shown
Never be, never see
Won’t see what might have been
What I’ve felt, what I’ve known
Never shined through in what I’ve shown
Never free, never me
So I dub thee Unforgiven

[Verse 2]
They dedicate their lives
To running all of his
He tries to please them all
This bitter man he is
Throughout his life the same
He’s battled constantly
This fight he cannot win
A tired man they see no longer cares
The old man then prepares
To die regretfully
That old man here is me

[Chorus]
What I’ve felt, what I’ve known
Never shined through in what I’ve shown
Never be, never see
Won’t see what might have been
What I’ve felt, what I’ve known
Never shined through in what I’ve shown
Never free, never me
So I dub thee Unforgiven

[Guitar Solo: Kirk Hammett]

[Chorus]
What I’ve felt, what I’ve known
Never shined through in what I’ve shown
Never be, never see
Won’t see what might have been
What I’ve felt, what I’ve known
Never shined through in what I’ve shown
Never free, never me
So I dub thee Unforgiven
Whoa !

[Outro]
Never free, never me
So I dub thee Unforgiven
You labeled me, I’ll label you
So I dub thee Unforgiven
Never free, never me
So I dub thee Unforgiven
You labeled me, I’ll label you
So I dub thee Unforgiven
Never free, never me
So I dub thee Unforgiven

I have thought / believed for a long time that the success of Facebook is due to people, especially youngsters, liking to see pictures of themselves. Most of us old geezers use it as a tool to stay in touch with old friends, or distant close relatives. and the use is sporadic.
Many of the twenty somethings with real lives and jobs have deserted it, so their subscriber base will continue decline in mature markets, and foreign markets must be pursued vigorously, or the advert revenue will decline more.

My belief is similar to yours that Facebook, etal, is all part of the beasts plan to divert people’s attention onto themselves and away from their family, away from real life and into a very grand deception. An addiction. When do you NOT see someone tied in worshoip to their idol? It’s all about me, me, meee.

Easy how we lost our language, our privacy, even our kids. See how easy it is to gather a crowd for what ever nefarious purpose for destruction anywhere; see how most young kids no longer mind their parents because mom and dad are tied to their idol and have no clue about disciplining their kids; see how Human Trafficking has flourished into a billion dollar business. How many parents take the time to find out what the language of abduction is and their kids “hooking up” with predators?? I’ll answer that – Very, very few.

Who cares about privacy anymore?? It’s all out there for anyone to see. Medical information a thing of the past; banking information easily hacked; privacy on our whole life that is very easily found on any search engine, truthfinders.com, intellius.com and all the rest. Your social security number, criminal record, family names, ages, the kids pictures and school info for easy prey, Google-ing right up to the front window of your home and overlooking your backyard.

The beast and his coming monetary system and means of trade, buying and selling, is/will be seamless.

I wish you had the balls to confront KaD when she said illegals should be machine-gunned and left to rot in the desert, including women and children.

Not ONE so-called Christian here —- there are so many here (where are YOU, GCP???) —- had the balls to recite to Holy Roller KaD, Mt. 18:6;

—– “”If anyone causes one of these little ones–those who believe in me–to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.

Murdering unarmed human beings …. “for mah country!!” …. was met with universal approval.

Is that the world that you are referring too, the one that makes sense? You sure got the “scoundrels” part right. You might want to reconsider the “lovable” part.

The opiate of the masses is not just religion, but the propaganda, misinformation, lies and technological distractions designed by the invisible government ruling class to provide the masses with pleasant illusions about their country, society, and material situation.

There are some who would say their religious faith helps them to see more clearly the latter-identified illusions. Yet, in so many ways, those illusions have become a religion for most because they daily act upon what they believe.

I, myself, experience “tremendous mental discomfort” when mingling amongst the normals whose eyes sometimes dart at me like I’m wearing a straight-jacket and slobbering. Because if I tell them what’s on my mind, then they become uncomfortable hearing that which they don’t want to hear.

It’s gotten to the point I just stay quiet; or, at least, more so than in the past.

I had a young man (early 20s) at family gathering ask me how much of his income he should be investing in the stock market. When I told him about the times and the bubble soon to pop, he said he could absorb some risk because of his age and, besides, it always bounces back. The poor guy obviously believes it’s 1985 and everything his company’s financial “planner” has told him. It is depressing when I think what will happen when his illusions go the way of the stock market. Maybe that’s why they call it the “Depression”.

This last weekend, the young 40-Something Socialist joined our group shaking with anger that the Repubs held onto control of the Senate as well as stealing the elections in Florida and Georgia.

I calmly asked him: “Why do they never find any Republican votes? Why did only Democrats gain votes and increase the number of seats won after election night?”

Instead of answering my questions the Marxists resorted to calling the Trump a “racist and Nazi” and the RINO said he better watch it because I (me) was “to the right of Mussolini”.

I quipped back: “But Hitler was a socialist. He favored gun control. How does that compare to Trump?”

Silence. But the 40-Something Collectivist was, literally, shaking with anger and staring at me with hatred.

Truthfully, I was hoping the guy felt “froggy” and would “jump”.

Of course, he didn’t.

But he seemed scared and threatened by Trump in ways not logical. Trump is more socially liberal than other Repub past presidents. You would think these lefties would care about that, but they don’t.

Here’s the deal: You can’t reason with these people anymore, and that’s fine. I’m done talking with the normals of the Idiocracy, anyway. Put a fork in it.

I suppose it’s a matter of perspective?

Hitler passed the “German Weapons Act” in 1938 which restricted all guns and ammo for Jews but made it easier for Nazis to acquire and transfer the same. The law exempted non-semites, hunters, government employees, Nazis and some railroad employees.

I’m on the road, so won’t provide link attribution now, but you could research this law on the net.

There are many books and other various online citations, claiming Hitler’s gun measures made Jews, homos, gypsies, et al defenseless before their ensuing demise under the Third Reich.

Of course, for some (even today) none of that was a problem

Like I said, it’s a matter of perspective.

But, my point regarding the 40- something Marxist in my Saturday morning breakfast club was that Trump wasn’t taking his guns; at least not yet.

https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2015/oct/26/ben-carson/fact-checking-ben-carson-nazi-guns/

The Nazis adopted a new gun law in 1938. According to an analysis by Bernard Harcourt, a professor at Columbia University School of Law, it loosened gun ownership rules in several ways.

It deregulated the buying and selling of rifles, shotguns and ammunition. It made handguns easier to own by allowing anyone with a hunting license to buy, sell or carry one at any time. (You didn’t need to be hunting.) It also extended the permit period from one year to three and gave local officials more discretion in letting people under 18 get a gun.

The regulations to implement this law, rather than the law itself, did impose new limits on one group: Jews.

On Nov. 11, 1938, the German minister of the interior issued “Regulations Against Jews Possession of Weapons.” Not only were Jews forbidden to own guns and ammunition, they couldn’t own “truncheons or stabbing weapons.”

In addition to the restrictions, Ellerbrock said the Nazis had already been raiding Jewish homes and seizing weapons.

“The gun policy of the Nazis can hardly be compared to the democratic procedures of gun regulations by law,” Ellerbrock told us. “It was a kind of special administrative practice (Sonderrecht), which treated people in different ways according to their political opinion or according to ‘racial identity’ in Nazi terms.”

“Oh, you can’t help that,” said the Cat: “we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.”
“How do you know I’m mad?” said Alice.
“You must be,” said the Cat, “or you wouldn’t have come here.”

This AMAZING version of the song was recorded for the end of the movie “Donnie Darko” which is a terribly underappreciated film. The sense of desperation and meaningless that so many feel is echoed by this music. I would swim against the current and suggest that even the “causes” of this desperation are merely symptoms themselves, symptoms of a far greater malaise that people sense, but no longer have any way to understand.

This WORLD is broken, and as time goes by and populations increase, there are more and more interactions of broken people, similar to nuclear emissions triggering further reactions. Critical mass is being achieved. And what is this brokenness about? It is about our rebellion from the Designer. Marx calling religion “the opiate of the masses” is not surprising, giving the propensity of all who follow his ‘religion’ to engage in deceit. No, it is our increasing alienation from God, the disavowal of objective morality, our desire to ‘define reality’ in whatever way one chooses. Lust for money, power, and unhindered sexual behavior drive all that is destroying the world.

Same as it ever was, but technology and numbers make it a far more serious issue. The extent of government control that we live under is unprecedented in human history. This is NOT going to end well, and somehow a magical “Fourth Turning” is not going to somehow rectify things. As a follower of Christ it is quite clear to me that nothing short of true repentance and revival in this nation can ‘right the ship.’ Sadly, this nation is past its peak and has nothing but serious decline without divine intervention.

A major issue is this – there are too many people. They live too closely together. Living in big shitties damages many people. Man should live in communities, yes, but smallish ones with space around them. The family unit should be supreme.

Further, the survival of the fittest humans no longer rules, as it once did. The stupid and infirm of mind and body tended to die off, leaving a stronger gene pool. Now, the stupid and infirm not only survive, but they breed like rabbits, while the smartest and most capable tend to have few offspring. This is a disaster, and society is seeing the repercussions mount. In 80 years, both the world and the US IQ average is going to plummet.

So Carlin’s point about the stupid people and the desire of the elite to control them seems to be accurate as hell. The population is becoming increasingly stupid.

Unfortunately they are becoming also increasingly dependent. They expect to be fed, clothed, housed. Hell, homeless in CA are costing $100k each a year. That defines insane, that society would spend that much each year on a homeless person.

Sane people need to abandon ship to areas where there are smaller communities, and avoid the shitties, if at all possible. Those hellholes are destroyers of humanity.

Thanks Admin.

I’ve been reading a lot of evolutionary biology recently, and the phrase “survival of the fittest” is really a misnomer. The basic biological mechanisms really push for survival of those who can reproduce the fastest. Doesn’t change your story however. It actually amplifies it. Those that are stupid tend to use their basic instincts more, while those that have better formed frontal cortex’s and amylada’s have learned to suppress them. Basic evolutionary biology. Too bad more people don’t read a bit about it. Steven Pinker’s book ‘The Blank Slate’ is an excellent read on this stuff.

Excellent article. You’re in good company with the people on TBP. I’m sure a lot of us feel the same. Among my extended family, only my sister believes as I do–in short, the Western world is screwed. I clued in maybe ten years ago and began to preach to friends and family about the dangers just around the corner. I soon desisted after a few friendly warnings and innumerable smirks from family and friends . So far they’ve been right. I pulled out of the stock market in mid-2009 and held cash till 2014 when I went heavily into gold, silver and the miners. I’ve lost over half my money. I read once that the people who’ve been hurt the most through all this insanity are those with the most common sense. What’s happening fundamentally makes no sense, so sensible people act accordingly–and get slaughtered financially. Now when I have an opinion I keep it to myself. My son and his fiancé are just about to pay top dollar for a condo, and I have to bite my tongue–or my wife will bite it off. I think he’ll lose his shirt. But then I’ve been wrong for nine frigging years. Who’s to say condo prices won’t double again before everything finally collapses?

As I read your article it occurred to me the myths surrounding the 9/11 hoax closely parallel the fantasies concerning the economy. 9/11 was maybe the most incredible crime ever pulled off. The perpetrators told a stunningly ludicrous story–a bunch of evil Arabs armed with box cutters defeated the goddamn US Air Force to carry out the caper of the century–and the great majority of people bought it. Not only that, they think people who question it are the fools. I never even broach this anymore with my family because they worry I’m going off the deep end and beg me to stop thinking like this before I ruin my reputation, such as it is. It’s beyond astounding.

So, like everyone else, I plod along waiting for the inevitable.

Rdawg…sorry just saw this,

The answer is I think PMs (especially silver) can both because it has been both since I got in…but I’ll take either one going forward.

Now, the big question is when did you buy in.

I went in big in 1999 and 10 years later had 600% profits. Bada Bing Bada Boom!

Then I started cost averaging buying in 15, 16, 17, 18…as I see another 600% run up either for me (I will be 69 in 3 weeks) or for my wife/daughter and her family if I go home before the next cycle.

Rdawg, the deal is I go long on PMs but have other assets/investments: a farm, other hard assets & cash (outside the Banksters) short term Treasuries, all levels of serious PREP.

Me or my heirs can holds the PMs until the next inevitable bull market. I think that will be soon, but if I’m wrong it doesn’t matter. They are about 45% of my net worth, but the other 55% is plenty to live a quality, independent life on.

TIMING – TIMING – TIMING…just like everything else.

Only by making the choice you have made can you not be overcome by the madness. Not comprehending pervasive madness is a choice, and is madness. You may have been alienated and shunned, but there are kindred, sane spirits out here. Thanks for one of your best commentaries. The reason we see patterns is because the patterns are everywhere.

Being the guy who can see the picture clearly is akin to being the guy who can paint a clear picture. You’re lucky enough to do both. Really great piece of writing.

We’ve been slaughtering turkeys the past couple of days, in the snow. For the last four or five months the turkeys have been free ranging everywhere around the farm. They roost on the fence next to the hogs at night, spend the rest of the day following us around looking for scattered feed or scraps of food from when we feed the other animals, like hungry mascots. The entire time we are dressing and plucking the turkeys, the snow stained in their blood and yet the rest of the flock just walks around us, oblivious. They only know us for the feed we give them and the safety of the dogs that keeps the predators at bay and so cannot comprehend the price they must pay for our stewardship.

They have eyes but cannot see, wings but will not fly. There will always be plenty for them to eat, right up until the moment we place them in the killing cone.

A domesticated species is one that has come to depend on it’s caretaker to such a point that it is completely insensible to it’s own surroundings, for one more bite. That’s most human beings, more now than at any time in recorded history. Almost all of the instincts of self preservation are absent because they have been bred out and their behavior reinforced by those further up the food chain. What’s coming is going to be a different kind of slaughter, but come it will, and most of those people will be caught by complete surprise, right up to the last snack.

Your part of the remnant, Jim. You not only see the world as it is, you convey it with clarity.

HSF,

I always enjoy your common sense perspective…

Much of our cognitive dissonance as a species arises from not understanding the condition of man and the laws of the natural world.

Most of the public school indoctrinated do not even consider the fact that the human species is still part of the animal kingdom and nature.

The concrete jungles and neon lights have distorted their realities and the self indulgent mindless feckless tripe broadcast across the airwaves and consumed on the screens inflate the egos and redirect the potential existential thinking towards the mundane and abhorrent

They were all in their little groups and I just wanted to ” kill ” somebody but I turned around and left. It is so frustrating that so many white people don’t see anything wrong with third world bottom feeders flooding into our nation. They don’t see the dangerous situation that our government has put them in nor do they care .They have believed most of the lies and propaganda coming from the media . I believe the Western world is screwed as Bob P said from above.

40 years ago a guy I knew had an acronym on his car dash. KALP.
What the hell does that mean?
“It’s an abbreviation reminder. Keep A Low Profile.”
He was ridiculed by another guy.
That stuck with me, all these years.
He went on to become a successful real estate agent. Haven’t seen him in 30 years.
The gist of it to me, meant: Work hard, be humble, quiet your ego, don’t brag or be flashy.
Then you’ll have considerable success, and not attract enough attention from the wrong associates.

I’m sticking to the plan I learned from the folks and the Grandparents, children of the depression of ’29.
A few lines of what they taught me.

Save.
Live simply.
Avoid debt.
Conserve.
Invest cautiously, not speculatively.
Seek value over glamour or glitz.
Silver.
Celebrate family.
Grow your own, and can / preserve.
Stretch a dollar any way and every way possible.
Live within your means.
Distinguish between needs vs. wants when considering a purchase.
Don’t buy anything on credit, if at all possible. IF you do used credit, do so wisely, and pay it back ASAP.
Treat people with respect, but cautiously, until you know much more about their true motives.
Share, but be selective about it. Scoundrels target easy marks who show generosity.
Teach the younger ones as best you know how, the lessons you’ve learned.
Don’t follow crowds. Trust your gut instincts, and follow your own path.
Find simple pleasures in life as often as possible. Know these are not in materialistic things.
Help somebody in a simple small way today. Every day.
A smile is a simple gesture that’s free to give, costs nothing, and pays dividends. Ditto for compliments.
Pay keen attention to people that matter in your life. Look them in the eyes, and listen.
Be as prepared as possible, for any sense of what’s most likely to come in yours, or your kin’s future.
Music and laughter have healing qualities that surpass a Doctor’s advice or any medication.
Once you’ve made a decision, don’t 2nd guess it. Stay firm in your knowledge and experience.
Persistence yields more success than constantly switching strategies. Keep at it.
Confidence, encouragement, and humor work best when given to others. Save some for yourself, ‘tho.
Whatever you want, go earn it. Find the means and the way.
Help out an older person who might be struggling a bit. You can give time and / or effort in this.
If youngsters think you’re old and out of touch with your advice, keep silent in your wisdom.
Protect those close to you who are unable to protect themselves adequately.
Find entertainment in nature, with a new outlook of what’s amazing around you.
Very little that requires a power source holds much return on time invested, except perhaps when used as a tool to create something of value to yourself or others.
Gratitude is underrated. Give some out, for even the smallest of gifts received.
Don’t expect it, for gifts given. Christ healed 10. Only 1 came back and thanked him. A foreigner.
Expectations are sets ups for disappointments, if not fulfilled. Don’t bank on them.
Think thrice, before lending hard earned money to casual family, friends, or co-workers. Don’t do it.
Be supportive of people grieving the loss of a loved one. It’s courteous, classy, and respectful.

That’s all I got for now.
I’m off to go play hockey, in a 50& Over league.

Things are great these days and there seems to be a lot less need to fret on the chaos that abounds everywhere. You’d think that by being a regular on this website it would be the other way around. But not so, which is a surprise to me. I have, like Francis Marion said below in this thread found it is better to look up at the stars instead of kicking the rocks on the ground.

Jim’s essay here is the best one he has ever done. It follows, of course, on everything else he has written through the years.. There is a great danger for this world in telling the Truth. Still the truth needs to be told even if few want to listen. Hopefully it will matter again someday. This place is the exception and a shelter. TBP has been and will be one of the very best chronicles of this Mad Mad World. A place for the like minded to gather.

The common thread thru Jim’s Mad World, Scrabble’s Drive to DC, Gore’s Broken Clock and Uncola’s False Orthodoxy is that the world spins on delusion and ignorance. The singularity that threatens it all being the mass onset of cognitive dissonance in millions of snowflakes. Folks who scuffle along under constant threat, shielded only by the pale shelter of their denial.

TFF is one of my favourite bands and their 1982 album, The Hurting, is their very best. It is for me hard to believe that it is now very close to 40 years ago. Crazy!

There is the lesson in how time flies…

As for the pond if the weather keeps up it won’t be long before I am skating again.
Gotta luv this global warming! eh!
Soon enough it will be time to don the skates as well..

As for my intermittent breaks from comments. Well, lurking by times, has its benefits. Watching the perimeter by being an observer. Because when the bullets start to fly it might be best to keep a low profile. Just watch as the act unfolds.

Cheers….

I think it’s necessary to find some good in these dark times. Even if it’s just a beautiful sunset.

The idiot above who commented that Admin is no fun to be around must be a drive by commenter. I’ve seen the pics of his trips to the beach and having fun at his favorite bar.

Glad to be able to write up some traditional common sense / common ground points of experience for us, Mary. Yes, that focus is important. Placing it with laser precision on positive thoughts, ideas, and practices takes immense discipline, with all that’s going on around us.
But we have to do it. The alternative is to get so bogged down in the negative, we become a drag on ourselves and those we interact with.
Thanks for the kind words, MC. Have a great Thanksgiving.

“Have a great Thanksgiving”

Yes I will, you also, Lgr. It’s going to be warm so my husband and son have decided to go ride dirt bikes in Mark Twain National Forest and ditch the family. I am not sure he’s told his mom yet. So I get to hang with them by myself. Not for long, though. I will ditch them after a couple hours and go have fun, too.

Admin, you’ve laid it all perfectly straight and most of us here agree 100%, if not more. From what I read here regularly, most of us are in the same boat about sanity and frustration with what’s happening to us and our country. For the last decade I’ve been singing the same song as you to anyone who will listen, but to little avail. So, I’m through —– fried. Ain’t gonna waste any more time or emotional capital on those who will not see.
So, when anyone asks me what I think about how and where things are going, I just say WE’RE FUCKED. If they haven’t figured it out by now, tough shit.

Many cheers admin, connections are a rare treat in the SOT (sign of times). As a kid in the 70s and 80s many where trying to warn us of these times and a few examples Rollorball, Westworld, Blade runner etc. MaxQ “way of the world”, Midnight oil, Radiators,Talking heads,Winger, Kingdom come etc all gave great clues to what was coming. Schools taught Orwell, Huxley the bad side of Marx, free enterprise, corruption and subversion all the while geopolitics played out the hand in apartheid, Berlin wall etc. I was there I know and took note knowing with surety these times would come. Friggen bloody obvious even way back then. What I couldn’t fathom was how did my generation lose the ideals so quickly and how it gave itself over to being bent over with an almost passion. How from those original learnings to how stupid they are now. Yes I get most of it but will always question why to the end trying to seek for full clarity knowing that isn’t possible. Just Human I be. Unconditional understanding a far greater value than useless or over exaggerated possessions, very hard to achieve thou and maintain while being tested every day but that is life that is growth. Never stops.
Above all that I am thankful this platform exists and the great writing that seems to seamlessly take shape as time Progress’s. Saved and stored for future generational reference. So goodonya keep up the good works we can use to show others if only to plant seeds that will germinate later hidden underground for now. Their travels are their own learning we are not responsible for that no matter how much we scream. Johnny Appleseed fed many when those trees grew after he passed and we still have to toil.
Great summary of situation nation and as we used to say back then mega value. Thanks.

BUT

Here at this wonderful site called TBP that you have created and maintained for so many years, we don’t share our thoughts because we think they will change the minds of those who think differently.

We share our thoughts here to show those who think as we do that they are not alone.

TBP can be a rough and tumble place at times, but to me and to so many others it is an oasis of sanity in this insane world.

It reminds us that we are not alone…

“The detrimental impact of social media has been documented in a recent study at an Ivy League university. Those who reduced their usage of social media saw a significant decrease in depression and loneliness. The data proved spending hours per day on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other social media is damaging to the mental health of college students.

Social media is nothing more than virtue signaling and peacocking by people trying to pump up their own egos.”

Do you think they had any idea how powerful this medium would become? The “Social Credit” model that China has begun is very disturbing to say the least. Make no mistake, it will spread unless we voluntarily withdraw but I believe they will not allow that to happen unless we can mobilize somehow and make it..well I hate this term but..go viral.

But it would not be easy, if even possible..

“According to job search firm CareerBuilder, 70 percent of employers screen their candidates’ social media presence before making a hiring decision. Avoiding social media altogether isn’t a wise decision either — 57 percent stated they were less likely to hire a candidate if they had no social media presence at all.”

https://arcdigital.media/china-is-building-a-social-credit-system-so-is-the-united-states-a9facbc6f832

If the above isn’t disturbing enough, it gets worse.

“‘Social Credit’ Tech Is Coming: 5 Ways for U.S. Entrepreneurs to Capitalize

Maybe such a system won’t be controlled by any government, but by corporations or community organizations. We don’t yet know what form it will take in North America, but you can bet that social credit scores are coming. That means that the time for entrepreneurs to begin preparing for them is right now….

1. Live life in the open.
“If you have nothing to hide, there is no reason not to be transparent.” — Mohamed ElBaradei

Privacy is a relic of a different time. Everyone has a camera in his or her pocket, many of our most intimate details are the property of publicly traded companies, and digital stalking has never been easier.

But don’t cling to your privacy. To thrive in the coming age of the social credit score, live your life openly with honor and transparency. Trying to hide indiscretions or shut out prying eyes will no longer be possible, so shift your energy into ensuring that you have nothing to hide. If you can’t let go of some socially unacceptable behaviors, then you must at least be up-front and honest about your reasons for doing so. Always remember that whatever you do, you will be visible.”

Read the rest of the article. It’s quite short but packs quite a monstrously sinister punch.

“What is your choice?” The question concludes the excellent though depressingly accurate essay.

I believe I’ve made the only logical choice in a completely illogical and deceived (MAD) world. I seek God’s counsel. I go to the instruction manual and look for MY instructions.

Eph 5:15-16… “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Mr. Quinn is 100% correct. It’s a mad world. It is evil because evil is in charge. Evil is in charge because the VAST majority want evil to be in charge. Charge was given over to satan by Adam in the beginning. Adam chose SELF over God thus empowering satan and satan’s power of sin and death. This is not some tall-tale or metaphor for “real life”. This IS real life. This is human history… the reason the world is mad. satan is a real being whom the Bible calls (among other things) the “god of this world” (2 Cor 4:3-4).

Proof of ownership. The devil make a presentation to his Creator (the unmitigated gaul…).

Luke 4:5-6… “And the devil, taking Him up into an high mountain, shewed unto Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto Him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

He says; “for that (the kingdoms of this world) is delivered unto me”. Notice the Lord does not dispute the fact.

What then, knowing that Mr. Quinn is spot on in his assessment of our situation; knowing that each and every reader here is in mostly 100% agreement with that assessment, is a sane man or woman in this insane world to do about it? He needs to learn what God is doing (has done) about it. Nothing by way of human effort is going to stop this freight train from cruising right off the cliff directly ahead of it. God sees that. He is Alpha and Omega. He knows the beginning from the end. How could He not have the solution?

In the past God set up a nation to be a beacon of light to the rest of the world. He made promises to them which He will eventually keep. Clearly, as any with eyes half open can see, they have failed to keep their end of the bargain, the commandments. Not that they ever could have, no. The law was given to prove to man that he could not possibly keep it.

Rom 3:20… “Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

The law demonstrates to man that he is sinful. A Just God cannot allow sin to go unpunished.

Rom 6:23(a)… “For the wages of sin is death;

But something changed after Israel crucified their Messiah and failed to repent and be baptized as Peter commanded them (them = Jews from all nations – Acts 2-4).

Rom 3:21… “But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

The law is Holy, Righteous, Just and Good. By it, Gods very nature is manifested on earth in the Man, Christ Jesus. How is it possible God could demonstrate His righteousness without the perfectly righteous law?

Rom 3:22-24… “Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Answer: He became us. He sacrificed Himself as us, for us, as we sinners deserve to die. In the most amazing act of love in the history of all creation, God became flesh and died in the place of His guilty creation; thus providing them (us) one last chance at eternal salvation. Through our faith and trust in what God did for us, do we rise above this mad, mad world. Through nothing else can we escape the inevitable violently entropic end that awaits creation itself. Sin cannot continue. It is self destructive.

By what He did for us, are we made to be something other than what we once were… a new creature.

2 Cor 5:17… “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Accepting the freely offered gift of salvation makes one a new creature. Above and beyond Israel, above and beyond Gentile, above and beyond slave or free, above and beyond even male and female.

Gal 3:28… “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

What is this “new creature” all about? It isn’t found in the prophetic scriptures… Genesis – Acts / Hebrews – Revelation. It is only found in what Christ revealed to Paul… Romans – Philemon.

2 Cor 5:18.. “And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

It (we saved – the new creature) has been purchased by the blood of Christ (1 Cor 6:20, 7:23) and given the ministry (responsibility) of reconciliation. Paul tells us exactly what that means.

2 Cor 5:19… “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

God has looked down on a world so mad, so crazy, so absolutely deluded, that it spit on, beat and crucified ITS OWN CREATOR… and forgave it. He has reconciled Himself to the fact that sin is so powerful and so evil that only He Himself can do anything about it. God today IS NOT imputing mans own evil trespasses against him. Every single saved Christian, whether he knows it or not, is a part of this new creature and the ministry given to it. That ministry is to tell the world that God is not mad; He is not currently seeking vengeance; He is offering salvation freely by way of the death, burial and resurrection of Himself in the form of the Son. Today (for how much longer I know not) God offers GRACE and PEACE to a mad, mad world that doesn’t even know it needs it. Now that’s mad…

What kind of moran turns such an offer down? A mad one.

2 Cor 5:20… “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

As though God Himself beseeches you BY US… since God is not here in this world physically any longer (satan is) He beseeches mankind BY THE NEW CREATURE, to be reconciled to the Creator who has 2,000 YEARS AGO reconciled Himself to YOU.

Mr. Quinn writes… “What is your choice?”

People, it’s a no brainer. Those who frequent a site such as this ought to know bullshit when they hear it. If you believe this to be bullshit, show me something better. Present a better deal. IF NOT… it’s time to get off this mad, mad world and begin to help others to do the same. Cause God ain’t gonna allow this shit to continue forever. He’s gonna wreck this place yet again (this time with fire) and you don’t want to be here when He does.

Something magnificent will come out the other side but the horror of satan’s kingdoms of this world (America, Russia, China, Germany, England, etc…) being totally destroyed will be FAR MORE than most can bear. A saved Christian is NOT appointed unto the wrath that God will pour out upon these kingdoms. A saved Christian has had Gods wrath poured out vicariously on Jesus Christ already.

2 Cor 5:21… “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

I’ll close by finishing the verse in Romans chapter 6 I only partially quoted above and with a call to action.

Romans 6:23… “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Christians, we have a critical responsibility. The world is mad. It needs Jesus Christ. It has no idea however (it much prefers its own religions) and will fight you tooth and nail at every step. We do it anyway. With the patience and longsuffering God shows us (2 Tim 2:24-26). It’s what He asks and why we are still here.

1 Thes 5:5-11… “Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.”

Walk worthy of the ministry committed unto us. Tell people how to get off this mad world by believing on Him that died for us and rose again. There is ultimate sanity in so doing.

2 Tim 1:7-10… “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:”

grace and peace…
