It’s clear that our friends on the left, and Democrats in particular, are repulsed by good news. And no, we’re not using “good news” as a synonym for the gospels of the Christian bible; though a compelling argument could be made on that point as well.

If we learn of encouraging data regarding climate change, Democrats will scoff and scold. You’re a climate denier! When our economy was humming almost exactly one year ago, prior to the COVID pandemic, Democrats downplayed any supporting statistics. Those people make too much money!  With peace breaking out between Israel and much of the Middle East last year, we had a legitimate reason to celebrate; all of us, but Democrats scowled. Israel is bad and we’re less safe! And there has been no topic more indicative of the Democrats’ disdain for favorable information than the COVID pandemic. We can’t go back to normal until Fauci says it’s OK, you Neanderthals! We must therefore ask ourselves: why are Democrats so averse to recognizing and embracing good news?

Mark your calendars because today is the day Townhall Senior Columnist Kurt Schlichter agreed with Big Chief Warren and Scat Francisco Congresscreature Nancy Pelosi. Yes, they are correct that Americans rejected Sitting Bolshevik because she was a woman, specifically, because she was a very, very annoying woman who, besides her track record of tacky lies, was very, very annoying in a uniquely female way. Putting aside that she is the Bud Light of faculty lounge socialism, Americans had no desire to spend four years with some national librarian in the Oval Office pestering us about using our inside voices and demanding that we share the toys we bought with the kids who broke theirs.

Military guys – and I am a graduate of the Army War College, which is not the one with noted expert on expertise Tom Nichols – try to abide by the apocryphal advice of Napoleon, who counseled that you should never interrupt your enemy while he is making a mistake. But this doesn’t apply to the Democrats because they are not only too dumb to listen to your warnings but their weird dogma actually makes it impossible for them to imagine that they are heading for disaster in 2020. So, I’m going to mock these losers mercilessly, safe in the knowledge that even though I am telling that anime lollipop-looking twerp Adam Schiff and Jerry the Oompa Loompa Nadler exactly what is going to happen, they are powerless to stop it.

— Obamacare sucks.

The move is expected to drum up significant support for the Republicans, not on their own merit but on the wackiness of the Dems.

“Look, it’s tough for us to raise money by just saying the same talking points we’ve been using for years,” said RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel. “Frankly, a lot of our policy positions are kind weird and not all that conservative. But if we can just let the Democrats talk for hours every night, we’re sure to win.”

Are these really the best and brightest that the Democratic Party has to offer? 

It was going to take a monumental effort to top Marianne Williamson’s level of craziness on Tuesday night, but on Wednesday there were several Democratic contenders that gave it their best shot.  Kirsten Gillibrand and Jay Inslee were particularly unhinged, and Joe Biden “repeatedly stumbled over numbers and phrases” during an incoherent performance that will be remembered for a long time to come.  The Democrats may have more than 20 candidates running, but none of them looks like a president at this point.  Perhaps that will change, or perhaps a stronger candidate will enter the race eventually, but right now Democratic strategists cannot be feeling too good about their chances of winning the 2020 election.  Of course Republicans are facing some very serious challenges of their own, but at least they don’t have to worry about a powerhouse candidate on the other side.
