The family of Robert Card, the man accused of shooting and killing 18 people in Lewiston, Maine, have shared several details with police about Robert’s “acute” mental health episodes the months leading up to the mass shooting.

In an exclusive report, NBC News reported Katie Card who is married to Robert’s brother, shared that Robert began to hear “horrible” voices talking about him just shortly after he was “fitted for high-powered hearing aids.”

Katie Card told NBC “He was picking up voices that he had never heard.

She continued “His mind was twisting them around. He was humiliated by the things that he thought were being said.”

As of 6 PM on Thursday night Card is still at large after gunning down and murdering over a dozen people in Maine.

There Was Another Mass Shooting On Monday, But Democrats Don’t Care – Why?

Via The Blue State Conservative

by Jess Lawson

There was another mass shooting in America on Monday, and the carnage was horrific. A total of nine people were shot, all of them were taken to nearby hospitals, and at least one person is dead: a 21-year-old college basketball player who, by all accounts, wasn’t just a terrific athlete but was also a genuinely good person.

Multiple people killed in shootings at two New Zealand mosques

Via Marketwatch

CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand — Multiple people were killed in mass shootings at two mosques full of people attending Friday prayers, as New Zealand police warned people to stay indoors as they tried to determine if more than one gunman was involved.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern described it as “one of New Zealand’s darkest days” and said the events in the city of Christchurch represented “an extraordinary and unprecedented act of violence.”

One person was taken into custody but it was unclear if there were other people involved, Police Commissioner Mike Bush said. He said anybody who was thinking of going to a mosque anywhere in New Zealand on Friday should stay put.

How to Survive a Mass Shooting

Guest Post via Survival Sullivan

With the terror of the Orlando shooting, people all over the country are reevaluating survival tactics for mass shootings. The general consensus is that the decisions you make in that first few minutes will largely determine whether you live or die. It is easy to mourn the dead and tell yourself that victims were trapped and had no choices. While your choices are limited, you do still have them.

In this article I want to dispel some myths about survival. As an advocate of the 2nd amendment, it is easy to say that fewer people would have died if more of them were armed. That is not always the case. Even with a gun, fighting back should be a last resort. The order of actions for any mass shooting should be to flee, gain security, and fight back if absolutely needed.

WHERE ARE THE BODIES???

I’m actually quite surprised that the “conspiracy” angle hasn’t yet been discussed in any detail.

(Although hardscrabble farmer did posit a Coincidence Theory — hahaha).

PCR to the rescue!

==================================================

Some readers have asked for my take on the Orlando Shooting.

I don’t have one. Let’s see if together we can form a reasonable view.

Let’s start with the basic first question. Before there can be a murder declared, there must be a body. Has anyone seen on TV or in newspapers pictures of dead bodies? Bodies should be readily available if the reports are correct that fifty people were killed and 50 or more were wounded and in the hospital.

I cannot bear the presstitute TV and print media. These are full-time propaganda organizations. Hopefully, some of you hold your nose and watch the news and can fill in the spaces. Has anything we have been told been confirmed by any real evidence?

Initially, I saw a CNN newscast and an RT report. The reports were heavy with the verbiage of blood being all over the place, but the only visual evidence offered were three people, supposedly injured, being helped, not by medics or first responders, but by ordinary folks. A couple of people were helping a guy with tattoos in place of a shirt, but there was no sign of blood. Several people were helping people in police uniforms to carry a person who they dumped in the back of a pickup truck, not in the cab. About 6 people were carrying a person stretched out prone (no stretcher) down a street.

SHOCKER – LOUISIANA SHOOTER WAS ON PSYCHOTROPIC DRUGS & WAS DENIED A HANDGUN PERMIT

The libs are already using the latest mass shooting as a rallying cry for gun control. Before it was semi-automatic weapons. Now it’s handguns. Obama will do his usual jibber jabber about the dangers of the 2nd Amendment. MSNBC will spend hours on the subject. They will mention he was a member of the Tea Party 4,000 times in the next week. No agenda there, I’m sure.

Why isn’t there an uproar about the Drug Company responsibility in this murder? The Reuters article buries  the best stuff at the very end of the article. What a surprise.

Here are the pertinent passages:

A 59-year-old man who had been committed to a hospital for psychiatric care was identified by authorities on Friday as the gunman who fatally shot two people in a rampage at a crowded movie theater in central Louisiana before turning the gun on himself as police closed in.

Houser had a volatile relationship with his family, who said he had a history of mental illness. In April 2008, he was ordered not to contact his wife, daughter and other relatives after they filed a request for a protective order against him in Carroll County, Georgia.

In the request, Houser’s estranged wife, Kellie Houser, said she feared for his “volatile mental state” after he threatened to stop the wedding of his daughter and her boyfriend, according to court records. She said her husband was on daily medications for manic-depression and bipolar disorder at the time.

Earlier, Houser was involuntary committed to a hospital for psychiatric care, according to court documents. His family was concerned he could be a danger to himself and others, according to the petition.

He was denied a concealed carry permit in Russell County, Alabama in 2006 because of a report or domestic violence filed against him by his wife in 2005 and a previous arrest, authorities said.
