The Realist View of the Midterms

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

The Democrats keep making lower highs and deeper lows. They do not review the major trend nor are they willing to revise their central theme.  While the Democrats won the majority in the US House of Representatives and can blow their horn really loudly, there is a far more important shift in domestic power balance that has taken place. Trump’s gains in the Senate demonstrate that his election was not a fluke. The FOX poll that showed more Republicans identified with Trump than the Republican Party demonstrates above all the trend is away from both party mantras. We truly are moving more in the direction of a third party trend rejecting career politicians on both sides.

The Mid-Terms Were All About Trump

Guest Post by Tom Luongo

Finally the mid-terms are behind us.  There was no Blue Wave nor was there as I hoped, a Red Tide.  There was, in fact, a split decision that leaves the country in a slightly better but still deeply divided state.

It will take a little time to fully digest what happened here but one thing is very clear to me looking at these results.

This election, like all things American politics now, was all about Donald Trump.

And I say that for two reasons.

What Do We Make Of The Midterm Election?

Guest Post by Paul Craig Roberts

Readers are asking for my thoughts about the midterm elections.

Looking at this CNN map—https://www.cnn.com/election/2018/results/house–it seems that except for thin areas of the northeast and west coasts and hispanic and black enclaves in the southwest and south, the country overwhelmingly voted Republican.

In my opinion, flyover America voted Republican because the “deplorables” want to defend Trump. They want to defend him for two reasons. One is that he spoke to their economic plight caused by the US corporations exporting their jobs, leaving the American workforce and middle class hard-strapped. The other is that the adoption of Identity Politics by the Democratic Party has made the Democrats the party that hates white people—especially white heterosexual males who are defined as the victimizer of minorities, homosexuals, and women. It takes a really stupid white person to vote for Democrats who see white people as the problem.

Look For Democrats To Blow Their Meager Success By Being Jerks

Look For Democrats To Blow Their Meager Success By Being Jerks

Well, I guess there wasn’t a blue wave or a red wave; instead, there was just kind of a puke green splash. The Democrats took the House, by a pretty small margin, beginning at least two years of a divided Congress. And they’ll almost certainly screw it up because they are dumb, crazy, and bad.

It’s annoying to lose anything, especially to a party that is so manifestly unworthy, but the nature of an electorate that is split 50/50 is splitting. Chin up. Remember, we have the other half of Congress and the presidency and the courts too, so our agenda is not totally stalled. If you are going to lose anything, lose the House. It’s the Maroon 5 of our governmental institutions – always there, but no one really likes it.

The Stakes Today, Election Day

The Stakes Today, Election Day

In the Army they call them decision points, key moments in time and space where your choice determines whether you achieve the thrill of victory or the agony of defeat, in this case defeat by a bunch of vicious socialist-wannabes who long for the chance to crush you like one of the grapes that goes into Felonia Milhous von Pantsuit’s Trader Joe’s house brand Chardonnay.

Ignore The Never Trump Losers And Vote Republican

Ignore The Never Trump Losers And Vote Republican

The midterms are tomorrow, and the Never Trump conservatives’ latest collective self-own is their insistence that we vote for Democrats because of … get this … conservatism. Well, “ahoy” to that, you cruise-pushing goofs.

Pardon me if I doubt the savvy political insights of the guys who told us, “You know who’d make a great candidate? Jeb!” I just can’t get my mind around anyone who thinks Jeb! is the answer to any question except, “What political superstar has three letters plus an exclamation point, blew a couple hundred million bucks for like one delegate, and will have ‘Low Energy’ carved on his tombstone?”

THE FOURTH TURNING & WAR OF THE WORLDS

Image result for fake news cnn Image result for illegal immigrant invasion

“In retrospect, the spark might seem as ominous as a financial crash, as ordinary as a national election, or as trivial as a Tea Party. The catalyst will unfold according to a basic Crisis dynamic that underlies all of these scenarios: An initial spark will trigger a chain reaction of unyielding responses and further emergencies. The core elements of these scenarios (debt, civic decay, global disorder) will matter more than the details, which the catalyst will juxtapose and connect in some unknowable way. If foreign societies are also entering a Fourth Turning, this could accelerate the chain reaction. At home and abroad, these events will reflect the tearing of the civic fabric at points of extreme vulnerability – problem areas where America will have neglected, denied, or delayed needed action.” – The Fourth Turning – Strauss & Howe

The paragraph above captures everything that has happened, is happening, and will happen during this Fourth Turning. It was written over two decades ago, but no one can deny its accuracy regarding our present situation. The spark was a financial crash. The response to the financial crash by the financial and governmental entities, along with their Deep State co-conspirators who created the financial collapse due to their greed and malfeasance, led to the incomprehensible election of Donald Trump, as the deplorables in flyover country evoked revenge upon the corrupt establishment.

Obnoxious Liberal Overreach on Guns Gives Us a Shot at Victory in November

Obnoxious Liberal Overreach on Guns Gives Us a Shot at Victory in November

Let’s start with the basic premise that the GOP establishment is terrible, and as its defining characteristic, its cowardice is only overshadowed by its sheer incompetence. But even those hacks might be able to win the midterms and keep hope alive for the resurrection of the America we love. It’s all thanks to the aggressive scumminess of our leftist enemies – and yeah, anyone proposing to take my God-given rights to speak, worship, and defend myself, and/or my life, all of which they have recently told me they seek to take, is my enemy.

November Rain

Guest Post by The Zman

The conventional wisdom says the Republicans are headed for a bloodbath in the November midterm elections. Sadly for us, it will not be a literal bloodbath, but it could be a big swing in the representation of the House. The Senate is a different issue, as most of the seats up this time are currently held by Democrats. Many of them are in states that tilt Republican and many are held by blockheads like Debbie Stabenow of Michigan. The House is where the Democrats have a chance to claw back larger capitol offices.
