Anything Goes When You’re a Cop in America

Guest Post by John W. Whitehead

“There is one criminal justice system for citizens—especially black and brown ones—and another for police in the United States.”—Redditt Hudson, former St. Louis police officer

President Trump needs to be reminded that no one is above the law, especially the police.

Unfortunately, Trump and Jeff Sessions, head of the Justice Department (much like their predecessors) appear to have few qualms about giving police the green light to kill, shoot, taser, abuse and steal from American citizens in the so-called name of law and order.

Between Trump’s pandering to the police unions and Sessions’ pandering to Trump, this constitutionally illiterate duo has opened the door to a new era of police abuses.

Pentagon Almost Gave Fake Cops $1 Million Dollars Worth Of Guns And Bombs

Your government at its finest.

Via Captain’s Journal

Fox News:

The Pentagon nearly gave over $1 million worth of rifles, pipe bombs and other military hardware to a fake police department — set up as part of a government watchdog’s sting operation, a new report reveals.

Using cloak-and-dagger tactics, auditors from the Government Accountability Office (GAO) created a nonexistent police department. They submitted requests to purchase from the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) “controlled properties” like simulated pipe bombs, night-vision goggles, and explosive ordnance detonation robots.

“In less than a week after submitting the requests, our fictitious agency was approved for the transfer of over 100 controlled property items with a total estimated value of about $1.2 million,” the GAO said in a July 18 report.

The sting operation involved government auditors creating a website describing the fake agency and using publicly available resources to produce false police credentials.

“Personnel at two of the three sites did not request or check for valid identification of our investigator picking up the property,” the GAO said.

In its reponse to the findings, DOD concurred with four recommendations made by GAO and highlighted steps it was taking to improve internal controls and implement recommendations from past audits.

At no point during the application process did Law Enforcement Support Office (LESO) staff speak with officials at the fake agency to verify the legitimacy of the application, according to the report. All authorizations were done via email.

I have a better idea.  Let’s not give any police any military weaponry or ordnance at all, ever.  For any reason under the sun.  Under any circumstances.

There.  Fixed it.

THE VILE DESPICABLE TACTICS OF THE LEFT

Liberals have always portrayed themselves as the champions of the people. They love to call themselves Progressives, as if they and only they know how progress should proceed. The truth, as revealed by Kathy Griffin, Black Lives Matter terrorists, the brain dead SJW’s on college campuses across the land,  the Soros funded ironically named Antifa fascists, the left wing fake news media, and despicable lefty politicians like Maxine Waters and Nancy Pelosi, is that left wingers are violent, lying, bullying, anti-First Amendment, thugs willing to do anything to crush anyone who doesn’t bow down to their fascist agenda.

The Black and Blue Bill

Guest Post by Eric Peters

Naturally, the solution to the problem of police abusing their authority is to hold them less accountable when they do exactly that.

Leave it to “law and order” Republicans such as Texas Sen. John Cornyn and Rep. Ted Poe to evolve such logic. They have put forth the Black and Blue – whoops, Back the Blue – act (see here) which would make it harder to sue run-amok law enforcers in civil court to recover damages resulting from actions undeniably illegal – while at the same time imposing more severe penalties on Mundanes who affront the person of a law enforcer than those imposed on Mundanes who do exactly the same thing.

Fines – Civil Asset Forfeitures – Taxes

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

When I was a kid, most police were kind, respectful, and actually there to protect society. Sure, there was some towns that were just greedy. My father took a local post as a judge in Cinnaminson, New Jersey. It was the politicians who told him they want the maximum fine for everything. My father refused and quit. It is not even the police who are ticketing people just for fun. There are quotas and pressure to raise money for the politicians. Governments are just going broke. Many of the police they bring in today are not like they use to be. They are much more nasty and aggressive.

Chicago Gangs Turn To “Armor-Piercing Rifles” In Police Ambush

Tyler Durden's picture

Last week we noted that Chicago’s police officers were taking their own lives in record numbers…the devastating consequence of having to work everyday in the “war zone” that is Chicago (see:  “Chicago Is A War Zone”: Police Suicide Rate Surges To 60% Above The National Average).

Now, yet another brutal weekend of violence and an ambush of police officers sitting in an unmarked vehicle offers a small glimpse of what Chicago police officers have to face on a daily basis.  The escalation in violence this weekend even prompted Chicago’s police department to issue a new bulletin warning officers of an ongoing gang war in which “gunmen are using weapons powerful enough to pierce bullet-proof vests” which shows an increasing tendency to “arm themselves with weapons most associated with soldiers in battle.” Per the Associated Press:

Banks Secretly Report All Cash Transactions to the Police

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

$10,000 NZ DollarsI have warned that governments around the world are engaged in the greatest collection of data in human history, tracking everything we do because they are going broke. This is just the hunt for money pretending to be looking for terrorists. Collecting every phone call, email, and text message is far too much data to ever allow preventative action. They have been limiting cash everywhere. India simply cancelled the currency overnight to eliminate cash. Now, New Zealand banks are being ordered to provide police with customer details on each and EVERY cash transaction over $10,000, claiming this is a crackdown on money laundering and the potential financing of terrorism. Of course, the money laundering really means hiding money from the government to avoid taxes.

Death at Your Door: Knock-and-Talk Police Tactics Rip a Hole in the Constitution

Guest Post by John W. Whitehead

It’s 1:30 a.m., a time when most people are asleep.

Your neighborhood is in darkness, except for a few street lamps. Someone—he doesn’t identify himself and the voice isn’t familiar—is pounding on your front door, demanding that you open up. Your heart begins racing. Your stomach is tied in knots. The adrenaline is pumping through you. You fear that it’s an intruder or worse. You not only fear for your life, but the lives of your loved ones.

The aggressive pounding continues, becoming more jarring with every passing second. Desperate to protect yourself and your loved ones from whatever threat awaits on the other side of that door, you scramble to lay hold of something—anything—that you might use in self-defense. It might be a flashlight, a baseball bat, or that licensed and registered gun you thought you’d never need. You brace for the confrontation, a shaky grip on your weapon, and approach the door cautiously. The pounding continues.

Why Every Policeman Should Not Carry Guns – Only Specially Trained Squads

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

An off-duty Los Angeles police officer pissed-off at teens traipsing on his lawn pulled out his gun and fired a shot during a sidewalk scuffle with several minors. Protests were sparked after a video that was filmed on Tuesday afternoon emerged showing the confrontation between the off-duty LAPD cop and a group of teens who he had apparently accused of walking on his lawn. The confrontation ends with the officer pulling his gun out and firing a shot that did not hit anyone as the teens fled.

In London, the average policemen was unarmed. If there was any incident that required an armed confrontation, then a special squad was called in. Here this off-duty cop is just nuts. These are clearly not a gang, they are teenagers walking home from school. Kids will be kids. Walking on someone’s lawn did not give this insane policeman the right to drag this kid to his property for what reason?  He should be fired immediately.

How to Handle a Hero

Guest Post by Eric Peters

In the video below, a guy is stopped for a “license check” – that is, a random and probable cause-free interrogation and inspection – which by definition is unreasonable and so ought to be unlawful but isn’t any more because of a despicable Supreme Court ruling that effectively rescinded the Fourth Amendment’s protections.

The armed government worker conducting the random interrogation and search then proceeds to violate laws still in force. The man stopped asks whether he is being detained, whether he is under arrest. The armed government worked answers no to each but when the man asks whether his is free to go, the armed government worker says no  – which is an abuse of his authority under the law:

Is Charlotte Our Future?

Guest Post by Patrick J. Buchanan

Celebrating the racial diversity of the Charlotte protesters last week, William Barber II, chairman of the North Carolina NAACP, proudly proclaimed, “This is what democracy looks like.”

Well, if Barber is right, so, too, was John Adams, who warned us that “democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide.”

Consider what the protesters, who, exults Barber, “show us a way forward to peace and justice,” accomplished.

In the first two nights of rioting, the mob injured a dozen cops, beat white people, smashed and looted stores, blocked traffic, shut down interstate highways, got one person shot and killed, and forced the call-up of state troopers and National Guard to rescue an embattled Charlotte police force.

I’m All Blacked Out

Guest Post by The Zman

On my way home last night, I saw a couple of young black women on a corner, holding signs that had “Black Lives Matter” on them with some other writing. I think one of them had something about Charlotte, but I don’t know for sure. They were hoping to get the attention of drivers, but it seemed like no one was paying any attention. As traffic slowed, I did not see any heads turning their way, but in the city, drivers look straight ahead out of habit. That way the bums and panhandlers are not encouraged to molest you.

I caught the light so I was sitting at their intersection with a chance to observe for a few minutes. They stepped into the street and starting taunting the white drivers by holding their signs up against their windows and chanting something. When young black women get worked up, their voices reach a pitch close to a dog whistle. It’s just high pitched echolalic babbling, that is intended to annoy, rather than convey information. I had my windows up so I could make out nothing. My guess is it was just some gibberish they saw on-line or on TV.

DAMNED IF YOU DO, DAMNED IF YOU DON’T

Brave Cop Fired for NOT Killing a Man Who Was Attempting Suicide By Cop

September 12, 2016

Weirton, WV — Weirton police officer Stephen Mader exhibited extreme bravery and restraint earlier this year when he chose not to kill a suicidal man. For displaying such courage and reserve, Mader’s department fired him.

On May 6, 2016, Mader responded to a call about a domestic incident. When he showed up to the call, Mader confronted Ronald D. Williams Jr., 23, who was armed and in a diminished mental state.

Madar said that he began talking to the young man in his “calm voice.”

“I told him, ‘Put down the gun,’ and he’s like, ‘Just shoot me.’ And I told him, ‘I’m not going to shoot you brother.’ Then he starts flicking his wrist to get me to react to it.

“I thought I was going to be able to talk to him and de-escalate it. I knew it was a suicide-by-cop” situation.
