There Was Another Mass Shooting On Monday, But Democrats Don’t Care – Why?

Via The Blue State Conservative

by Jess Lawson

There was another mass shooting in America on Monday, and the carnage was horrific. A total of nine people were shot, all of them were taken to nearby hospitals, and at least one person is dead: a 21-year-old college basketball player who, by all accounts, wasn’t just a terrific athlete but was also a genuinely good person.

30 Blocks of Bliss or The City that Never Wakes Up

Guest Post by Svarga Loka

“I would give the greatest sunset of the world for one sight of New York’s skyline.”Ayn Rand

I do not often disagree with Ayn Rand, but I do here. I would rather watch a sunset on a beach, but to each their own. Nevertheless, I took my elementary aged daughter to New York City last Sunday, because it has been a long held wish of hers to see the Statue of Liberty and gaze at the expensive jewelry in the diamond district. It was a wonderful day, full of acts of kindness from random strangers, crazy New Yorkers, mask mandates, vaccine passports, a freedom rally at Times Square and overall the certainty that with ingenuity and flexibility, one can continue to live life even now. The universe aligned just so to show us bliss, hope and the human spirit.

My preparation started even before the trip. With the times we find ourselves in, I was not sure if we would be allowed into museums, stores, on the train etc, being unvaccinated. Turns out that public transportation is exempt from the vaccine mandates, so we planned to take the free Staten Island ferry to see the Statue of Liberty. Check. For jewelry, I knew that they have a great exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. A quick website search confirmed that only jabbed patrons are welcomed.

THE ROAD TO PERDITION IS PAVED WITH EVIL INTENTIONS

“Suckers think that you cure greed with money, addiction with substances, expert problems with experts, banking with bankers, economics with economists, and debt crises with debt spending”Nassim Nicholas Taleb, The Bed of Procrustes: Philosophical and Practical Aphorisms

“Globalization has created this interlocking fragility. At no time in the history of the universe has the cancellation of a Christmas order in New York meant layoffs in China.”Nassim Nicholas Taleb

As we continue our national lockdown suicide cult to hell, I find myself getting angrier and angrier at the pathetic leadership displayed by politicians, government bureaucrats, so called medical “experts”, and intellectual yet idiot academics displaying their ignorance of facts, reality, history, and humanity. My nature is to be skeptical of everything I read or am told.

I most certainly disregard everything communicated to me by politicians, world leaders, central bankers, corporate CEOs, CNBC talking heads, the mainstream corporate fake news media, and lately – self-proclaimed medical experts who have distinguished themselves by not seeing the danger coming, downplaying the danger, not being prepared for the danger, incompetently handling the danger and righteously proclaiming the nation had to be brought to a full stop because their terribly flawed models said so.

Looting Wave Strikes New York City Amid Coronavirus Lockdown

Via ZeroHedge

We’ve been laying out the possible case for the next phase of the COVID-19 pandemic could be social unrest.

Millions of Americans have just lost their jobs, have no saving, and insurmountable debts, are flooding food banks across the nation to survive. With the economy crashed and now entering a depression, last week was a significant milestone in the progression of the crisis, as looting of businesses in California and South Carolina began.

Now the looting is spreading across the nation. We noted how stores in New York, San Francisco, Seattle, and Chicago, were boarding up their windows, preparing for civil unrest.

Stop Apologizing for Saving Black Lives

Stop Apologizing for Saving Black Lives

Idiot conservatives were doing the idiot thing this week, screaming “racism!” in response to an old tape of former Mayor Michael Bloomberg defending stop-and-frisk, one of the policies that drove New York City murder rates down to Mayberry levels. They weren’t being ironic.

In the 2015 tape, Bloomberg makes the blindingly obvious point that if “95% of murders and murder victims are young male minorities” — as is true in New York City — then police should be questioning about 95% young male minorities.

To stop crime, he said, you “put a lot of cops where the crime is, which means in minority neighborhoods.”

“What A Crock Of Shit”: Sam Zell Summarizes Democrats’ Amazon Fiasco

Via ZeroHedge

Having listened for 5 minutes to New York Democrat Gregory Meeks deflect blame for Jeff Bezos’ decision to pull out of the HQ2 build in Long Island City, billionaire real estate mogul Sam Zell had had enough and was caught expressing his frustration in a ‘hot mic’ moment – much to the shock of the CNBC anchor.

Some clear thinking about Amazon’s ‘shocking’ tax incentives

Guest Post by Simon Black

Amazon made big headlines yesterday when it announced it was walking away from its plan to build a new headquarters in New York City.

The company was under intense pressure from the media and politicians who were angered that New York City’s local government was giving away too many tax incentives, purportedly worth around $1.5 billion.

(Including the state government, the total tax break was around $2.8 billion.)

People had some ridiculous idea that NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio was going to hand a check for $1.5 billion over to Jeff Bezos, already the richest man in the world.

That’s complete nonsense.

Ocasio-Cortez Declares Victory Over The Modern-Day Equivalent Of Slavery: Jobs

Via The Babylon Bee

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is busy celebrating her victory over the tyrannical Jeff Bezos and the horrible burden his company Amazon had planned to inflict on the people of New York City: 25,000 jobs.

“I thought it was a good thing that Amazon was coming to New York and wanted to give us money,” Ocasio-Cortez told the press. “But then I found out they were going to extort people and only give them the money if they worked for it. Forcing people to work if they want to get paid — how is that any different from slavery?”

Black Education: What Makes Sense?

Guest Post by Walter E. Williams

Black Education: What Makes Sense?

What do you think of the proposition that no black youngsters should be saved from educational rot until all can be saved? Black people cannot afford to accept such a proposition. Actions by the education establishment, black and white liberal politicians, and some civil rights organizations appear to support the proposition. Let’s look at it with the help of some data developed by my friend and colleague Dr. Thomas Sowell.

The Nation’s Report Card for 2017 showed the following reading scores for fourth-graders in New York state’s public schools: Thirty-two percent scored below basic, with 32 percent scoring basic, 27 percent scoring proficient and 9 percent scoring advanced. When it came to black fourth-graders in the state, 19 percent scored proficient, and 3 percent scored advanced (http://tinyurl.com/y85a4phm).

Here’s What Would Happen If A Nuclear Bomb Was Detonated On The Ground In NYC

Smokey’s advice for New Yawkers would have been, “They Should Have Ducked”.

Authored by Daisy Luther via The Organic Prepper blog,

After the meeting between North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and US President Donald Trump seemed to end on an optimistic note, one may have hoped that our fears of a nuclear attack would subside. Not so, according to The New Yorker, who published an article entitled, “This Is What a Nuclear Attack on New York Would Look Like.”

While the timing may seem odd, it’s important to note that feelings are mixed about the North Korea-US summit.  Some are pleased and feel that a great deal was accomplished, while others are unhappy – even angry – that Trump made nice with a brutal dictator.

It’s tough for many folks to separate their feelings about Trump, whether those feelings are animosity or support, and it shows in their assessment of the conversation. And this isn’t unique. People had the same difficulties with President Obama. Supporters thought everything he did was great, while detractors thought he was the Anti-Christ. We’d all be wise to try to separate our feelings from our take on current events, as difficult as that might be. However, that isn’t what this article is about.

The New Yorker Warns of ‘Creepy Infiltration’ of Chick-fil-A Restaurants in New York City

Guest Post by Thomas D. Williams, Ph.D.

Chick-fil-A

The New Yorker announced in a blatantly anti-Christian essay Friday that the arrival of Chick-fil-A restaurants in New York City “feels like an infiltration, in no small part because of its pervasive Christian traditionalism.”

The April 13 article by Dan Piepenbring, ominously titled “Chick-fil-A’s Creepy Infiltration of New York City,” reads like old Ku Klux Klan propaganda against Catholics, Jews, and blacks. It is evident from the first line through the last that the only thing that disturbs Mr. Piepenbring about the restaurant chain is the overt Christian faith of its owners.

Apparently unaware of just how bigoted his essay sounds, Piepenbring offers as evidence of Chick-fil-A’s “creepiness” that its corporate headquarters in Atlanta “is adorned with Bible verses and a statue of Jesus washing a disciple’s feet. Its stores close on Sundays.”

It makes one shudder just to imagine it.

Starbucks Chairman: “We Took A Walk On Madison Avenue. It Reminded Me Of The Financial Crisis In 2008”

Back in June 2009, in one of our earliest posts in the aftermath of the financial crisis, we took a “random walk down Madison Avenue” and found empty storefront after empty storefront after empty storefront.

In retrospect, the ghost town that was New York’s “Golden Mile” was not surprising: after all the US economy had just been hit with the worst recession since the Great Depression, and only an emergency liquidity injection of trillions of dollars prevented a global financial collapse.

What It Would Take to Kill New York City

Via American Digest

Ullah built the pipe bomb in his Brooklyn residence a week before the attack and began compiling materials two to three weeks earlier, investigators said. He filled the bomb with metal screws, which he believed would cause maximum damage. On Facebook the morning of the attack, authorities say Ullah posted a statement: “Trump you failed to protect your nation.”– – abc7ny.com

Back in 2004, I wrote the following “scenario” of what it would take to kill New York. I’ve updated it once or twice since, but it still works. I see that currently terrorists are thinking a bit smaller and simpler. And if they miss, they all think: “No matter. We’ll come back tomorrow. We’re sure to get a winner one of these days.”
