SEE YOU ON THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON (PART 2)

In Part 1 of this article I tried to link the greed and depravity of those pulling the strings behind the curtain of the Deep State with perpetual warfare being waged by the military industrial complex and the purposeful dumbing down of the populace so propaganda spewed by the Deep State’s media mouthpieces finds fertile ground. Pink Floyd’s lyrics from their existential album – Dark Side of the Moon – continue to resonate today, even more than they did in 1973.

No charges filed after gun owner shoots and kills three teens breaking into his home at 4 a.m

A man in Georgia shot and killed three teenagers as they attempted to rob residents of the home.

The incident happened around 4 a.m. Monday morning in Rockdale County, Georgia. Law enforcement said the three teens with their faces covered, one 15-year-old and two 16-year-olds, approached three residents in the front yard of a home in an attempt to rob them, according to WSB-TV 2. Two of the teens were brothers.

One of the youths pulled out a gun and fired a few shots, prompting one of the residents, reportedly a male truck driver who owns a semi-automatic rifle and is very protective of his mother, to return fire and shoot all three. The homeowner called 911 after the shooting.

Everyone Wants to Win and Nobody Likes Being Wrong

The axiomatic adages contained in the title of this article would be labeled as common sense by most Americans; especially Americans because, in the United States, everyone loves a winner.  It’s also true no one ever wins by being wrong – unless in the instances of dumb luck or corruption and these never ensure long-lasting success.

Of course, the inverse of this article’s title would be: Everyone wants to be right and nobody likes to lose. And, particularly, in America, the land of the free and the home of the brave. The shining city on a hill.

Such are the stories we tell ourselves.

There is No Actual Law or Justice in the B.E.A.S.T. System

Trump Suggests “Common Sense” Gun Control, “Deranged” People Shouldn’t Have Guns

With many 2nd Amendment defenders rightly up in arms (no pun intended) over President Trump’s previous comments on ‘red flag’ laws:

Is Donald J. Trump anti-gun rights? Some might say “yes,” because the president has joined with Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) to support “red-flag” laws that allow government agents to take guns temporarily from those deemed too dangerous or unfit to possess a weapon. Such laws may be a major threat to the Second Amendment unless great care is taken to ensure due process is observed strictly and fully.

“Graham, in a statement, said he has reached a deal with Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) on a bill that would start a federal grant program to help and encourage states to create ‘”red flag” protection order’ laws, which are meant to make it easier for law enforcement to identify mentally ill people who should be banned from purchasing guns.”

Trump announced his support for the red-flag laws from the White House on Aug. 5, stating that “those judged to pose a great risk to public safety (should) not have access to firearms and that if they do, those firearms can be taken through rapid due process.”

FOURTH TURNING ECONOMICS (PART TWO)

In Part One of this article I laid out the unsustainable economic conditions which will drive the next phase of this Fourth Turnings and detailed the economic factors which drove the previous three American Fourth Turnings.

Strauss and Howe, when writing The Fourth Turning in 1997, did not know the exact circumstances and events which would propel the next Turning. But their study of economic and demographic trends along with the attitudes of generations and historical precedents in prior Fourth Turnings, led them to conclude the driving factors of this Crisis would be debt, global disorder and civic decay.

As I watch what is currently happening in this country and around the world, it is evident to me they nailed it. The volcanic eruption in 2008 unleashed a torrent of molten lava, which continues to flow along channels of distress, but is currently threatening to burst free of these channels and wreak worldwide financial and physical devastation. A multitude of possibilities described by Strauss and Howe below are already happening or will happen in the next few years.

Let’s Call The Liberals’ Second Amendment Militia Bluff

The Second Amendment is so clear and simple that only liberals, aided by a half-wit liberal law school professor-tariat that is to real lawyering as Jerry Nadler is to Chippendales, could pretend to be confused about its meaning with a straight face.

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

The whole “shall not be infringed” part is a real problem for the left, since collectivist Castro-channelers prefer that we Americans be defenseless serfs existing at the government’s (i.e., their) mercy when we should be armed, freedom-loving citizens with the personal firepower to veto their pinko utopian schemes. So, they fixate on the 2A’s passing reference to the militia, spinning a prefatory statement that recognizes that a militia is a good thing into a directive to cancel out the whole “citizens having guns” part of the Second Amendment.

In other words, to defeat its very purpose.

U.S.—Democrats have made vows to place extreme restrictions on guns, but they keep running into a problem: Many of their ideas can’t go into effect because of an early addendum to the Constitution. They’re now calling this the “Second Amendment loophole.”

“We just want to get guns off the streets,” Cory Booker, one of 583 presidential candidates, told the press, “but this Second Amendment loophole makes it so we can’t do that. We need to close that loophole.”

Biden, though, stands out for his unwavering opposition to modern multi-purpose semi-automatic firearms. In November, 2017, he expressly stated that Stephen Willeford, the heroic armed citizen who stopped the mass shooting in Sutherland Springs, should not have been able to buy the AR-15 he used to stop the attack.

Of course, the former vice president and senator never really addressed the fact that had the shooter’s conviction for domestic assault been entered into NICS in the first place, the shooting would not have happened. The victims became pawns in his latest push for sweeping gun control.

Kentucky recently became the 16th state to amend its laws to get rid of onerous restrictions on healthy, law-abiding adults bearing arms, conforming its concealed weapons statutes to the Constitution and irritating liberals who prefer that we citizens remain helpless sheep. Some of us channel the Founders and believe it is every eligible citizen’s duty to own the kind of guns liberals label “assault weapons” in order to be able to personally protect themselves, their families, their communities and their Constitution; others just want the option of carrying a .38 at a house of worship or elsewhere in public where evil might manifest. But liberals oppose this natural right. Why? Well, there are only two kinds of people who object to Normal Americans being able to protect their lives and freedom, felons and aspiring tyrants, and it just so happens both of them are key constituencies of the Democrat Party.

Firearms Registration Act Introduced in Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania state Democrats introduce HB0768, known as the Firearms Registration Act.

(Ammoland.com)- A new bill introduced in Pennsylvania would establish a gun registry within the state.

HB0768 is known as the Firearms Registration Act. The Democrats that introduced the bill were Mary Louise Isaacson (D), Angel Cruz (D), and Mary Jo Daley (D). Last Friday, the General Assembly referred the bill to the committee on judiciary.

The bill would require gun owners in the Keystone State to register their firearms with the Pennsylvania State Police. Owners would have to provide the police with the make, model, and the serial numbers of all their guns.

Along with the application that the gun owner must swear to under oath, the gun owner would have to submit fingerprints, two photographs that are no older than 30 days and go through a background check for each firearm that they own. This background check is the same one that they must go through to purchase a gun.

In addition to this requirement, they must also provide the Pennsylvania State Police with their home and work address, telephone number, social security number, date of birth, age, sex, and citizenship. This requirement is more information than a person needs to vote.

Bipartisan Attacks on the Second Amendment

The House of Representatives recently passed legislation that would expand the national background check system to require almost everyone selling firearms, including private collectors who supplement their incomes by selling firearms at gun shows, to perform background checks on the potential buyers. The bill has a section purporting to bar creation of a national firearms registry. However, the expanded background check system will require the government to compile lists of those buying and selling guns. In other words, it creates a de facto national gun registry.

Paradoxically, some of the most difficult questions are quite simple to ask. Examples might include:  Who do we think we are? Who are we really? What are we doing? Why do we do what we do? Is there something better we should be doing? What does winning look like? How would we define success in our current and future circumstances? What must be done to get where we want to be?

Formulating and phrasing those inquiries is easy enough- even if the answers take some more time and consideration. Yet the real irony is that the questions are rarely asked, let alone answered.  And even if we were to internally canvass those queries, any resolutions would ultimately be guided by ideology, or intellectual constructs, and tempered by circumstance.

Nancy Pelosi warned President Donald Trump that if he declared an “emergency” to build a wall, “think what a president with different values can present… Why don’t you declare (the epidemic of gun violence in America) an emergency, Mr. President? I wish you would… A Democratic president can declare emergencies as well.”

Her fellow Democrats Sen. Kamala Harris and Sen. Elizabeth Warren quickly agreed.
