Traveling Transition Road: 123 Revelations from May, 2018

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

For the previously unstated purpose of impugning internet censorship, and the fact online search engines are becoming less of a trustworthy source when attempting to research past articles, a catalog of links was started by this blogger on Mayday 2018; and based upon the belief that transitions are roads to revelations.

Keep in mind the following May denouements occurred in addition to those previously delineated during the first “Seven Days in May”.

The ensuing disclosures occurred between the dates of May 8-31, 2018 and have been organized into categories for the reader’s convenience:

In the Random Universe: Let Justice Be Done though the Heavens Fall

It’s always fun to see what new internet sensation will next captivate and surprise the blogosphere everywhere and all at once.  The most recent phenomenon to take the media-bubble by storm occurred last week by means of the Laurel or Yanny debate.  In the event the reader has been living under a rock, or in a cave, over the last several days it all started when someone on reddit posted a short audio clip of a computer pronouncing the word “laurel”.  Of course nothing would have come from it, except that other people who heard the clip swore they heard a word similar to “yanny” being pronounced instead.

As the debate went viral across all media platforms, Team Trump even Twittered on the matter from the White House.

At first, I thought it may have been an acoustic hoax whereby two separate recordings were alternating, but that was not the case.  When I, personally, played the clip to people in the same room, at the same time, they heard either “laurel” or “yanny”; as did I.  We were confounded at how we heard completely different sounds from the same recording.

Obviously, there was a scientific explanation and the mystery was solved according to the frequency by which people processed the audio.

Meditations and Musings, in a Church, on Mother’s Day

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

On Mother’s Day, my family and I attended a worship service at the church where my wife and I were married three decades ago. While sitting in the pew, waiting for the service to start, it struck me how little the nave had changed. Actually, from what I could see, it had not changed at all.

Traveling back in time, mentally, to the day I was married, I pictured my bride, the room, and the people in attendance. Then I imagined time passing outside in an array of flowing colors, similar to a DVD set on fast-forward; as the worship area remained unmoved and steadfast, like a super-sized stone stuck in the center of a rushing river.

Seven Days in May

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

As the political coup against President Donald Trump continues, I was recently reminded of a 1964 film entitled Seven Days in May starring Burt Lancaster, Kirk Douglas, Fredric March, and Ava Gardner.  Paradoxically, the screenplay was written by Rod Serling, the same guy who created and narrated The Twilight Zone.

Coincidence?  But I digress.

Serling’s screenplay was, in fact, based upon the novel of the same name that was written by the authors Fletcher Knebel and Charles W. Bailey II.  Published during the first year of John F. Kennedy’s presidency, the book was actually read by JFK who not only shared it with those in his circle, but also encouraged the production of the film.  Unfortunately, however, President Kennedy never lived to see the movie play on the big screen.

“Mayday, Mayday, Mayday”: 13 Random Revelations from April, 2018

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

As we travel the stormy seas on the way to our forthcoming destination, thirteen revelations from April, 2018 are now randomly recorded by this mate as follows:

1.) According to a April 22-24, 2018 Fox News poll of 1,014 randomly chosen registered voters nationwide:   Two-thirds said it is at least “somewhat important” that Mueller’s Russia investigation continues, and “56 percent think it’s likely the special council’s probe will find that Donald Trump committed criminal or impeachable offenses”.

2.)  A recent Quinnipiac poll found that 70% of Democratic voters would like to see impeachment hearings begin if Democrats regain control of the House and Senate.

3.) At a rally in Washington Township, Michigan on Saturday, April 28th, Trump claimed Republicans will retain the House and Senate in the 2018 midterm elections because of the economy:

Weaponized Consensus by the Collective Establishes Counterfeit Premises to Control Contrived Contingencies

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

– 2 Timothy 3:13

They are like chaff that the wind blows away.

– Psalm 1: 4

Many years ago I read a book entitled “People of the Lie”  written by Scott Peck, an American psychiatrist.  It was a fascinating analytic study of malignant narcissism and deceit. I came away from the book with an understanding that a very significant percentage, if not the majority, of people in the world are not decent.

Other conceptualizations presented by Peck in “People of the Lie” included disguise as a main motive of evil, along with descriptions of people assessed as such to being self-deluded, as projecting their own actions onto others, as utilizing the pretense of love to actually hate, and as possessing an inherent intolerance to withstand criticism.  The author further identified evil as the opposition to life; even acknowledging the word “evil” aslive” spelled backwards.  Dr. Peck also claimed evil could be measured by its consistency and conceded that decent individuals have difficulty in cognitively processing the concept:

BABY STEPS: You’ve Been Woke. Now Exit the Matrix.

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

‘Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great!  She has become a dwelling for demons and a haunt for every impure spirit……

Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues

– Revelation 18

There is an English salutation said to have been translated from a Chinese curse.  It states: May you live in interesting times. Well, like it or not, we do. There is so much insanity occurring every day, on a global basis, it is difficult to process.  So much so, that historians will one day look back on our time and scratch their heads in open-jawed, disbelief.

“Wait a minute,” they will say, “let us get this straight:”

Adam Schiff, the ranking member on the United States House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence was overseeing an investigation into President Donald Trump’s alleged collusion with Russia because Trump was said to have obtained damaging information on Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton; but, during the same time period, Schiff was engaged in obtaining damaging information from Russians on Presidential Candidate Donald Trump?

Groundhog Day: Shadows Seen as the Hits Keep on Coming

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

The ideological war between the opposing forces of globalization and constitutional nationalism continues to escalate.  Specifically, in the United States, the battle lines were recently redefined by the four-page House Intelligence Committee memo that was unveiled on Groundhog’s Day, February 2, 2018. History repeated, once again, as groundhogs exited their holes all over America, squinted into the sunlight, and saw shadows of ever-expanding government corruption.

The memo, in essence, transmuted the alleged conspiracy of Donald Trump’s and Russia’s overturning of the 2016 Presidential Election into actual collusion between former president Obama’s Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Department of Justice (DoJ), with Hillary Clinton’s Campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC), to illegally preempt said election. The revelations from the Groundhog Day Memo describe specific actions (and omissions) committed by officials in the Obama administration that have resulted in the illicit subversion of Donald J. Trump, the constitutionally elected President of the United States.

Place Your Bets, Hedge Your Bets, Winner Takes All

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power. Now you begin to understand me.

― George Orwell, “1984”, part 3, chapter 3

In the eight days following Donald Trump’s 2016 Presidential Election win, I wrote a series of three (3) articles based upon Charles Dicken’s literary classic, “A Tale of Two Cities”.  The first piece entitled “Best of Times Worst of Times” was a play-by-play of my own election night experience.  The second installment, entitled “A Tale of Two Cities” drew some comparisons between our modern times with Dickens’ major themes of “duality, revolution, and resurrection” against the backdrop of the burgeoning warfare between the aristocratic class and those of the peasants during the French Revolution.  And the third and final article concluded with these words:

On the Road to Oblivion: “Quality, Thy Antonym is Equality!”

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”

― C.S. Lewis

On Thanksgiving eve, I was notified of a circumstance which caused me to drive thirteen hours round trip the following weekend.  The event which precipitated my travels is now beside the point, but I will say, given prior commitments and work scheduling, I was compelled to go alone. I didn’t mind. So I booked my hotel located in a major American metropolis, and that Saturday, packed my bag, grabbed my toothbrush and car keys, and bid my bewitching bride fare-thee-well.

QUOTES OF THE DAY

“The fall of Empire, gentlemen, is a massive thing, however, and not easily fought. It is dictated by a rising bureaucracy, a receding initiative, a freezing of caste, a damming of curiosity—a hundred other factors. It has been going on, as I have said, for centuries, and it is too majestic and massive a movement to stop.”

Isaac Asimov, Foundation

“When you’re dealing with frauds and liars, listen more to what they don’t say than what they do.”

DaShanne Stokes

“The USA is a beautiful country…when you take the corrupt corporations and their government minions out of the equation.”

Steven Magee

QUOTES OF THE DAY

“When they call the roll in the Senate, the Senators do not know whether to answer ‘Present’ or ‘Not Guilty’.”

Theodore Roosevelt

“Corrupt politicians make the other ten percent look bad.”

Henry Kissinger

“It could probably be shown by facts and figures that there is no distinctly native American criminal class except Congress.”

Mark Twain

“Forget the politicians. The politicians are put there to give you the idea you have freedom of choice. You don’t. You have no choice. You have owners. They own you. They own everything. They own all the important land, they own and control the corporations that’ve long since bought and paid for, the senate, the congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pocket, and they own all the big media companies so they control just about all of the news and the information you get to hear. They got you by the balls. They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying to get what they want. Well, we know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else. But I’ll tell you what they don’t want. They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that. That doesn’t help them.”

George Carlin

QUOTES OF THE DAY

“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.”

Carl Sagan

“Power does not corrupt. Fear corrupts… perhaps the fear of a loss of power.”

John Steinbeck

“A man who has never gone to school may steal a freight car; but if he has a university education, he may steal the whole railroad.”

Theodore Roosevelt

“In the present case it is a little inaccurate to say I hate everything. I am strongly in favor of common sense, common honesty and common decency. This makes me forever ineligible to any public office of trust or profit in the Republic. But I do not repine, for I am a subject of it only by force of arms.”

H.L. Mencken

Government Corruption Tops List of Americans’ Fears

George Washington's picture

Time reports:

Corruption of government officials is currently Americans’ number one fear, according to a recent survey by researchers at Chapman University.

The researchers asked a random sample of 1,541 adults to rate the level of fear for 88 different fear options across a variety of domains (like crime and natural disasters). Based on their findings, here were the top 10 fears for 2015:

  • Corruption of government officials (58.0%)
  • Cyber-terrorism (44.8%)
  • Corporate tracking of personal information (44.6%)
  • Terrorist attacks (44.4%)
  • Government tracking of personal information (41.4%)
  • Bio-warfare (40.9%)
  • Identity theft (39.6%)
  • Economic collapse (39.2%)
  • Running out of money in the future (37.4%)
  • Credit card fraud (36.9%)

QUOTES OF THE DAY

“Are there good governments and bad governments? No, there are only bad governments and worse governments.”

Charles Bukowski

“Can we get control of an individual to the point where he will do our bidding against his will and even against fundamental laws of nature such as self preservation? (CIA Document, Project ARTICHOKE, MORI ID 144686, 1952)
As cited by Dr Ellen P. Lacter, p57”

Orit Badouk Epstein

“What is it about the government and its agents and employees that they can lie to us with impunity, but we risk being sent to jail if we lie to them?”

Andrew P. Napolitano

“I was right outside the NSA [on 9/11], so I remember the tension on that day. I remember hearing on the radio, ‘the plane’s hitting,’ and I remember thinking my grandfather, who worked for the FBI at the time, was in the Pentagon when the plane hit it…I take the threat of terrorism seriously, and I think we all do. And I think it’s really disingenuous for the government to invoke and sort-of scandalize our memories to sort-of exploit the national trauma that we all suffered together and worked so hard to come through — and to justify programs that have never been shown to keep us safe, but cost us liberties and freedoms that we don’t need to give up, and that our Constitution says we should not give up.”

Edward Snowden

“It’s not about electing the right people. It’s about a narrowing their responsibilities.”

John Stossel
