Masculinity Isn’t Toxic. Ignore the Lies of the Tyranny-Minded Left

Via Gen Z Conservative

The greatest lie currently told by the modern left is that masculinity is toxic. That talking point, in various forms, has come from every segment of society. Teachers tell young boys not to fight, Gillette implies that flirting and grilling is toxic in its ads, school is designed to restrain energetic young men, and physical achievement is looked down upon by a sniveling, effeminate elite.

Striking Blow Against Toxic Masculinity, Man Graciously Allows Wife To Shovel Driveway

Via The Babylon Bee

NAPERVILLE, IL—One man has taken the message of Gillette’s new “toxic masculinity” campaign to heart. Devin Camp saw the commercial and it caused him to perform an introspective look at his own motivations of behavior regarding manliness. One area of life he felt especially convicted was the task of snow removal.

“I’ve always just assumed that in our family, I would be the one to clear the driveway when we get snow,” Camp said. “But after seeing the video, I decided to start breaking down the stereotypes passed down from my father and his father before him. So, this weekend, when twelve inches of snow fell, I swallowed my pride, handed my wife the snow shovel, and told her I was going to let her do it.”

Doug Casey on Toxic Masculinity and White Privilege

Via Casey Research

Justin’s note: Gillette thinks men can do better.

The razor company made this clear in a controversial ad that came out on January 13. If you haven’t seen it yet, I suggest you take a couple minutes to watch it. As you’ll see, it’s a clear response to the #MeToo movement and the ongoing war on “toxic masculinity.”

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that there were a lot of strong opinions regarding it. Some people love it. Others despise it. But I wanted to hear what Doug Casey thought… So I called him up last week.

Below, Doug shares his thoughts on the ad… toxic masculinity… as well as white privilege.

Just a forewarning, this is one of the most controversial Conversations With Casey we’ve ever published. You might want to skip reading this one if you’re easily offended.

Least Masculine Society In Human History Decides Masculinity Is A Growing Threat

Via The Babylon Bee

U.S.—As society becomes increasingly dominated by nerds, hipsters, and computer programmers, people have fixated on what they think is our biggest problem: masculinity.

“It’s just toxic and causes nothing but problems,” said Elisha Mcewen, a vegan activist and no threat whatsoever to spiders or tight jar lids. “I was sharing my feelings on masculinity with other men in my drum circle, and we all agreed that if we ever encountered masculinity, we would run far away.”

P&G Urges Men to Lose Their ‘Toxic Masculinity’ in Gillette Razor Ad

Via Breitbart

Proctor & Gamble is urging men to shave their “toxic masculinity” in a new ad for Gillette razors. The ad shows men fighting, cooking barbecue, and verbally harassing women, interspersed with news reports about the #MeToo movement.

A new ad from P&G razor brand Gillette encourages men to reexamine themselves and the way that they raise young boys. The ad, which is called “We Believe: The Best Men Can Be,” is essentially a two-minute broad generalization about the way that men act and think.

The ad depicts men getting into fights, standing in front of barbecue grills, and verbally harassing women. The ad also heavily features news clips discussing the recent #MeToo movement.

The American Psychological Association just made it harder to maintain strong marriages

Guest Post by Suzanne Venker

Couple

I‘m finishing up a manuscript for a new book that helps women find Mr. Right and keep him by embracing sexual inequality, aka the innate differences between women and men. So-called gender equality presumes the sexes are interchangeable, and they are not. Masculinity and femininity represent the yin and yang of any romantic relationship and are crucial for lasting love. When they cease to exist, children suffer and families disintegrate.

So you can imagine my shock and disdain for the American Psychological Association’s new guidelines that claim traditional masculinity is “harmful.” We’ve known about the war on men for years, but to have the the largest scientific and professional organization of psychologists in the country formally reject the inherent nature of men is both profound and appalling.

Peterson on ‘Toxic Masculinity’ Training in Kindergarten: ‘Appalling’ That Schools Are ‘Pushing This Nonsense’

Via Fox

Canadian psychologist Prof. Jordan Peterson shared his views on a University of Wisconsin-Whitewater professor’s argument that “toxic masculinity” should be taught to children as early as kindergarten.

Kathleen Elliott argues in an issue of “On The Horizon,” an academic journal, that there are “consequences of simplified, toxic forms of masculinity in schools and society.”

It’s Right and Necessary to Let Boys Be Boys

Guest Post by David French

What Jordan Peterson understands and Swedish preschools do not

When you spend time with boys and girls, one of the first things you notice is that they’re generally profoundly different. I say generally, of course, because there are exceptions to every human behavioral rule. All girls aren’t the same. All boys aren’t the same. But there are general truths, and those who view the world with honest eyes can see them every day.

I sometimes think back to the week I spent a few years ago chaperoning my daughter’s eighth-grade class trip to Washington, D.C. It was like shepherding two different colonies of humans. There was the girl group — quiet, dutiful, occasionally tearful, but handling their drama via text message and social media. Then there was the boy group, best described as a rolling, nonstop low-level brawl. They were constantly pushing, grabbing, and mocking. One could often discern the best friendships by finding the guys who most aggressively attacked each other, verbally and physically.
