The Shrinking Attention Span

The Shrinking Attention Span

How many of you have thought about the shrinking attention span of the American public?

Not just social media and millennials, but every single person!

The deep-thinkers out there most likely have noticed that the “average” attention span of a typical person out and about has dwindled to nanoseconds.

What’s going on, people?

What’s the big deal about saying “F*ck?”

What’s the big deal about saying “F*ck?”

With all the perverse “topics” that are infiltrating our society the past decade or so (i.e., transgender, gay, etc.), it puzzles me why people are still uptight about “bad words.” What’s the big deal about saying “F*ck?” Or other “terrible” words like “sh*t” or “*sshole” or “c*unt?”

In 2017 (soon to be 2018), it seems like this “tradition” of carrying on the “self-censorship” of preventing you to print the words in full – is still in full swing.

Like that makes a damn bit of difference.

The Intellectual Relationship

The Intellectual Relationship {is it gone for good?}

intellectually compatibleAs I get older (but still look 20+ years younger than I really am), I understand and value the importance of intellectual compatibility.

Which leads me to believe that almost every person seeking to find their “mate for life” should focus on the intellectual relationship – not solely the physical one.

But as I see how people “connect” in 2017 (social media, bullshit sites like Tinder, etc.), it appears that our society is devolving.

Materialistic and narcissistic energies are soiling the landscape of true companionship.

BLACK FRIDAY {Things you’ll never see!}

BLACK FRIDAY {Things you’ll never see!}

Here we are. Yet another BLACK FRIDAY upon us.

The same crap will be peddled, such has been true the past 15 years. Technology. Clothes. And other “disposable” consumer goods.

In other words – utter garbage that will be rendered obsolete or ruined in a short time. Just think about the stupid crap that was so great back in 2010 – where is it now? The garbage dump? Some dusty drawer?

Man – if I had my way in this world – the following items would achieve “doorbuster” status:

Things (we wish) had blockbuster BLACK FRIDAY sales in 2017

Humans are flawed

Humans are flawed {beyond belief!}

[Note: To all the TBP readers – Read about how TBP has been shut off by Goog and Amaz – The same is happening to us. Unless we start a site about LGBT or whatever (is not natural to us), we are all suffering. Holy crap. What is happening in our stupid world? I penned this piece a few weeks ago – but as I try to think about the “world” as a place – I cannot escape the concept that this stupid specied “WE” are – is just flawed beyond belief. No amount of logic and printed text can change us. No matter how accurate it is! CAN ANYONE DISPUTE THIS? If so, tell me YOUR plan to change the minds of 7 billion people – or at the very least the 350 million mornons in the United States of America!]

Sing Along!

(People who) Sing Along – with other people nearby!

Here’s a little food for thought today. People who “sing along.” I’m sure many of you had to “deal with” a person or two who fit this category.

There are many aspects to the whole “sing along” situation.

One, and the most familiar – is those who feel the need to sing along during a music concert. We feel this is fine – especially when the vocalist REQUESTS that the audience sing. And even in some instances, the music sounds better the more that join in. One case in point is….

Another (worse) example is people who listen to music at home via some audio device… say they’re in the kitchen or cleaning the house. They just sing along to keep themselves active, I guess. This is okay if they’re home alone – but with others trying to have their own thoughts nearby – it’s just not cool!

Authority over others

Authority over others

Authority over others {food for thought}

I’ve always been fascinated by the concept of “authority over others.” And when I say authority – I mean “authority” in quotes.

How many of you question what that “authority” ever means? What gives one human being the right to dictate what they should be doing? Or as KRS-One said – who’s protecting us from you?

However, this concept has multiple facets. Let’s take a look at a few just to try and understand this dilemma that has plagued society since day one.

The internet is broken – don’t you see the writing on the wall?

The internet is broken {to us at least!}

Have you noticed how the internet is broken? How about search results that RARELY give you organic, home-grown content. Or honest reviews. Mostly from “big corporations” and other “mainstream” garbage. This has profoundly changed in just the past year or two or three. Doesn’t matter the search engine either.

Even searches WITHIN “big” (stupid ass) companies like Walmart are horrific. Prices are wrong. Stock levels are wrong. Take a look at this desktop PC we were looking at.

New Business Hysteria

New Business Hysteria {a look into}

As a local website proprietor for a dozen years, I have a lot of published history to examine (personally). From the days of “new business hysteria” to a more pragmatic approach such as “what do you need?” It’s worth talking about.

Anti-technology trends

Anti-technology trends

Hey, TBP’ers! Today’s post is a request to think outside the box. I’m wondering what people might think are good (FUTURE) anti-technology trends to invest in now.

And by investment, I mean either find companies that are already “against the grain” when it comes to all this social media stuff and smartphone nonsense. Or starting a NEW business NOW – which has not “caught on” yet in terms of popularity – but EVENTUALLY WILL considering the trajectory we’re on.

new ideas first for anti-technologyNot just prepping or SHTF stuff, either

Yes – there are many “doomsday” type businesses thriving in this current environment. Prepping being a big one. They make tons selling both survival equipment, canned food products, etc. Guns are doing especially well too.

But I’m thinking along a different line.

Why we’re done with charity businesses

Why we’re done with charity businesses {hint: unsustainable}

I can think of really only one of the “charity businesses” from back in the day. And that was Newman’s Own products. Their big selling point was donating all “after tax profits” to charity.

To put that in perspective – Newman’s Own had $600 million in sales last year and donated $30 million to charity (their own charities, naturally.)

That, of course, includes salaries of everyone involved. And whatever “cooked books” accounting. Some would say a 5% “leftover” seems to be a bit low of a profit margin. But then again, companies like Uber are losing $700 million a quarter (or something like that).

JFK to 911 Everything Is A Rich Man’s Trick

Hey guys, it’s been a while since I’ve posted… but wanted to share this incredibly long video with you all. I’m sure you think you’ve seen all tin foil hat videos out there. But this one was pretty good. It’s over 200 minutes long. (And amazing with over 4 million views?!)

But worth it.

Not only for the thought-provoking insights – but how it does an amazing job at putting the PEOPLE behind the nefarious actions about the world in the spotlight. Such sick a-holes we live amongst.

Check it out, please. Even if you have to watch a half hour a day for a week. It’s very well done. If you need to bash it, I won’t mind.

However, if you can get through it – watch this video below as another thought-provoking supplement.

Beautiful is not what it used to be

Beautiful is not what it used to be in 2017

Beautiful, sexy, hot. A few decades ago – a woman who met that criteria, provided she wasn’t a total retard – was more than enough to have a happy life with. But beautiful is not what it used to be anymore.

Let me explain.

beautiful girl 1

Classy.

There was a point in time, that most women were just that – fun, perky, playful and feminine – WOMEN. They respected what the word “man” meant. And they also respected their roles in life, relationships and families.

They were a pleasure to be around. Served as eye-candy. But still had skills – like cooking, cleaning, and even parenting. Most even had personalities!

They knew how to read a map, help themselves, and make things happen. They were not needy and understood the man’s role in a household.

It was understood that the relationship between a man and woman relied on key dynamics. A puzzle piece, so to say. A “Yin and Yang” type symmetry. Being complementary was a strength.

Stereotyping Millennials

Stereotyping Millennials {unfairly?}

I, like many other people – have been known to “label” the millennial generation.

While it is an accurate label (a group of people generally born in the early 80’s to the early 2000’s), many of the points are worth discussing at least for a few minutes.

Many articles we’ve read – typically identify Millennials as being liberal, or at the very least being “left-leaning.” And that may be true (not sure what the exact percentage is – but I’m guessing it’s at least over 70% – maybe even more in big cities – especially on the coasts).

Donald Trump’s ‘Muslim Ban’ – What You aren’t Being Told

Donald Trump’s ‘Muslim Ban’ – What You aren’t Being Told

Those crying “refugees welcome,” ought to see this video (transcript below).

It outlines how hypocritical this whole situation is – and clearly shows who people should be protesting. (Hint: The people who created the “crisis” in the first place).

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYLkyDO_Vo8?rel=0]

The mainstream narrative on Trump’s immigration ban is intentionally avoiding the core issue.

On Friday January 27th, 2017 President Trump issued an executive order suspending the Syrian refugee program and temporarily banning entries for people coming from Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen and Syria.
