On Wednesday morning Moderna released supposedly positive data from a trial of its Omicron-specific booster mRNA shot.

Do NOT be fooled by the company’s spin on the data – a claim credulous reporters are gladly abetting.

In reality, the trial showed that Omicron-specific boosters don’t work very well against the Omicron variant. Even after being given an booster designed against Omicron, people made far fewer neutralizing antibodies against it than they did against the original coronavirus – which of course is no longer a threat.

How could Moderna say the trial succeeded, then? Because the Omicron booster did produce somewhat more neutralizing antibodies against Omicron than the original Moderna booster did.

The problem with this comparison is that the original booster basically stops working against Omicron after a few weeks. In fact, a growing body of evidence suggests that boosted people are MORE likely to be infected with Omicron than the unvaccinated.

So the Omicron booster works marginally better against Omicron than the original booster – which very quickly doesn’t work at all.

A major new study adds more evidence that Moderna’s high-dose mRNA shots are more dangerous than Pfizer’s smaller jabs; will public health bureaucrats acknowledge reality as they push more boosters?

A huge new study shows mRNA shots sharply raised the risk of dangerous heart damage in Scandinavians who received them last year, and that Moderna’s 100-microgram shot was significantly more dangerous than Pfizer’s 30-microgram dose.

For young men, who are at particularly high risk of post-jab heart inflammation, the gap was especially significant.

Data from the study, published in a peer-reviewed journal called JAMA Cardiology, show that giving 1 million men aged 16-24 two doses of Moderna’s vaccine would lead to almost 300 hospitalizations for myocarditis and a related illness called pericarditis. Most would come after the second dose. Using Pfizer’s shot instead would lead to about 100 hospitalizations.

Participants in Moderna’s clinical trials for its mRNA booster Covid shots keep dying.

And Moderna keeps obscuring their deaths.

Last week, Moderna disclosed a death in its newest booster trial in a single chart on page 49 of a 53-page report, while elsewhere in the report inaccurately claiming the trial had “no fatal events.”

Today, a reader pointed out another death in an earlier Moderna booster trial, this one from cardiac arrest in a 72-year-old man. The victim had received his third or “booster” dose nine days before.

The death appears to have occurred in August 2021, at least six weeks before the Food and Drug Administration held a hearing in October to discuss authorizing a Moderna booster at a dose lower than the one used in the August trial.

But the death was not mentioned at the hearing.

Moderna says its new Covid mRNA booster makes twice the Omicron antibodies. Think DAYS of extra protection. Yay! Also, what’s with the post-booster death Moderna went out of its way not to mention?

This morning Moderna spun results from a 900-person trial testing its “variant-specific” Covid booster jab as a big positive. The usual media outlets that have failed to ask a single tough question about mRNA shots in 18 months agreed.

But reading the trial findings, as opposed to Moderna’s press release about them, offers a very different picture. The trial makes clear that tinkering with booster design does not change the core problem with the mRNA shots, which is that the antibodies the jabs produce do not last.

Worse, page 49 of the 53-page report reveals one person in the trial died after receiving a booster dose. Moderna did not discuss the death or offer any details about it anywhere else in the report – or anywhere in its its press release this morning about the trial. In fact, earlier in the report, Moderna incorrectly said that “there were no fatal events” in the trial.
